Duhon puts the promising freshman in his place... Is he still the most overrated player in Duke history?

Updated: Duhon bests Gilchrist, too.
Updated: Duhon gets bested by Nate Johnson
Updated: Duhon draws with Jack.

Yes. He didn't turn out to be anything compared to what they said he would be. He was the "top recruit" coming in...so much for whoever put out that ranking.

I don't think it was really Duhon that did much at all...Deng, Ewing, and Redick were the ones to maker the big plays when needed and Shelden provided a good presence down low...so I don't think he did better than Paul. Yes, he out-assisted him, but it was the guys first game at Cameron.

If Duhon plays better than Paul when you play at Wake, that will be when you can come here and say that "Duhon bests Paul"...even though I laugh at you for comparing Duhon and Paul

There should be a much bigger difference when comparing a 4-year starter who has played approx. 50-55 games in Cameron to a freshman who has hardly played in college basketball for half a season. But that just goes to show you how overrated Duhon is.

Paul is better than Duhon he just doesn't have the experience in big away games.

Chris Burgess anyone? And Duhon was a top 10 recruit, not "the top recruit".

Duhon had 14 assists. I repeat. 14 assists.

I wouldn't compare them if others hadn't decided to call Duhon the 4th or 5th best PG in the ACC, including Paul ahead of Duhon.

How overrated he is? Most fans think that he hasn't improved since his freshman year. The man is #2 all time at Duke assist/TO ratio... is #3 all time in assists and could be the winningest player ever at Duke. He is a great point guard and a bad shooting guard. That's all there is to it.
BTW... I think I will take Coach K's player evaluation over yours.

Paul is better than Duhon he just doesn't have the experience in big away games.
Paul will be a better senior than Duhon is right now. But Paul is a freshman. Duhon is the better player right now.
up there
