Just wanted to congragulate you guys on the last decade of football you've had!! I'm a South Carolina Gamecock grad and fan........but Kansas State has always been my second favorite team. I used to pull for you guys back in the 70s and 80s when you had so many bad years. I loved it when you finally turned the tables on Oklahoma, Nebraska and the rest of the elite in the 1990s.

I know how it feels to suffer with your team. We Gamecock fans are among the biggest sufferers in ALL sports. Your success gives me hope that we at South Carolina can do the same thing one day. I hope so!!

Good luck this fall!!

K-State better be careful with the Herd. Those are one of those teams I would NEVER schedule if I had my choice. We (South Carolina) played Marshall a few years ago and got beat. The same thing happened to our arch rival Clemson. They are not to be fooled with.......take them seriously.

Who are the other non-conference foes for the Cats this year?

BTW.....I picked up the new Sporting News football edition (southeast regional only) over the weekend. It focused on the SEC......but it did have national rankings. While the news was quite depressing for us Gamecock fans, it was good for K-Staters. They have the Wildcats picked as a sleeper for the national championship and ranked in the top 10! 04-bow

I have alot of respect for your program. I remember when K-State was a laughing stock on most schedules. You have turned the program around and have a great thing going. You have an exciting football team that is enjoyable to watch.

Marshall is still climbing . It is a school that was going to cancel football completely after a plane crash in the 70's killed most of the team members and the coaching staff....75 people in all. The school and community banned together and we have been rising ever sice that time.

We moved up from 1-AA in 1997 and joined the MAC, where we have won the East Division 6 straight years, and we have won the MAC Championship 5 out of 6 years. We have Bowl wins over Louisville, Cincinnati, BYU and East Carolina.

We may not win the game against K-State, but hopefully we'll give you a pretty good game. I only hope. Good luck and hope you enjoy the game. 04-cheers

Yep......I remember K-State's bad years very well. In fact, since South Carolina PLAYED Kansas State in 1984 in Columbia (South Carolina capital), I got to see it firsthand! I was at that game and we won 49-17.........Kansas State had little going for it then.

IMO, it's the greatest turnaround in the history of college football.......and maybe in all of sports.

Yeah.....well I was pulling hard of ISU over the last two years, also. You guys have been down a long time as well. I had the college football package on Direct TV last season and so I got to watch the ISU-Nebraska game and I really enjoyed that one. I was sorry to see ISU kinda fold down the home stretch.......they are a fun bunch to watch!

I still say KSU losses 1-2 games and because of their cupcake OOC schedule, will not get a BCS bid.

That's true; The Cats can probably afford only one loss if they want to make a BCS bowl. That means they'll need at least one very big win.......over, say, Oklahoma or somebody.

Snyder really should upgrade the OOC slate. The last two years versus Southern Cal were great.........they need more games like that.

well a team also has to learn to win it is not as easy as it sounds.and then you play that sch every 4 years and it is really tough.IMO this year will be better than last year even playing most of the same teams.i was not one of the SW die hards IMO he should have ben pulledduring the KSU game and after!6 turnovers in a singel game is just stupid!!!!a new name to remember KOCH fullback this kid will have an impact every time he gets the ball! 04-cheers
