Herb received 67 of 93 votes, with Paul Hewitt of Georgia Tech getting the other 18.
Despite the defection of Josh Powell to the NBA and playing an unorthodox practically-no-position offense, Herb coached NC State to its best finish in over a decade. Congrats to Herb & the Wolfpack on a well-deserved honor!

Sendek did a great job this year. Couldn't argue with Hewitt, either.
GW did a good job late...or, more likely, did a good job all year and it was late when the results showed up.
