If you don't know, these two guys are among the top highschool players. There has been a lot of speculation about Marvin jumping, but it seems very unlikely, especially after his lackluster showing at the McDonald's game. Meanwhile, JR, who wasn't even being talked about beforehand, is now being thrown around as a NBA possibilty. In my opinion, I think both of them are going to be on the Hill next year along with Quentin Thomas, and we are going to be the deepest team (quality deep too) in the country. What do you all think?

I feel much better about Marvin now. I was worried he would blow up in the McDonald's game and we'd be in trouble. I think his performance pretty much solidified his coming to Chapel Hill next year.

I honestly don't see that JR did anything to make him a high draft pick. He hit some deep threes, but a lot of players have been able to do that in a single game (especially with no defense on them). Also, he cherrypicked and got a few freebie dunks. Big deal. I do think he's probably a quality player, but I think basing it on that one game would be a little premature.

I'm still more worried about Marvin because I think we need him more. JR would be gravy.

i was surprised at marvin william's size. he seemed, at least to me, to be pretty small for a post player. but yeah, i'm very excited about next season, i still think we are a little soft in the paint.

any more news on jameson?

JD, I agree that some long range jumpers in a mickey d game do not make an NBA player. Wasn't JJ Redick MVP a couple of years ago with some long range shots? No one plays defense in those games.
