I'm gonna kick-start this forum a little. What's your favorite player on this year's football team?

I'm gonna have to go with Mike Mason. He's explosive and exciting -- but he's also a great guy with a great personality. I went to the game at NC State last year and sat in a small section of blue amidst the sea of red (with the players' families). Whenever the Heels were receiving a kickoff, Mason would look over to our section and wave his hands and acknowledge us. It was a small thing to do, but it was wonderful. It kept our small pocket of fans in the game and it showed that the Heels were there playing for us.

There are some other players I love: Larry Edwards, Ronnie McGill, etc. But, Mason is my favorite right now.

Madison's a good guy too -- I should've added him to my short list.

I was among a group of fans that gathered behind the Tar Heel bench at the end of the Clemson game in '03. Madison came over and shook every one of our hands. He's been one of my favorites ever since.

it doesn't look like the tv schedule has been announced yet, hopefully i'll get to see a few more games on TV down here. but i'm afraid that the three big schools in Florida will dominate the airwaves here. i only got to see one game on tv last year, hopefully i can get more than that this year
