Or maybe it's just that this is happening 7 miles down the road simultaneously:

Quentin Thomas verbals to UNC.
Marvin Williams verbals to UNC.
Marcus Ginyard verbals to UNC.
All current UNC players (including all starters) decide to stay.
Bobby Frasor verbals to UNC.

Michael Thompson is irrelevant but Dook could be in trouble next year without Deng and Livingston. They need a point guard in the worst kind of way. I dont think Dock is the answer and I wouldnt be suprised to see Ewing play point guard. Im not sure who else they got in this class but they have a big time hole at the point and it could mean big time trouble in a league that is loaded at point guard.

Crumbling? Hardly. Maybe we had a couple of setbacks with the loss of Deng and Livingston, but we still have Demarcus Nelson and David McClurecoming in, who are still top 100.

You respond with "You sir, are in denial"

Sounds like you're in agreement with Hoops that Duke is crumbling. So in effect, you did infer "crumbling".

Read my post again, I clearly said Duke was in a bit of trouble, putting emphasis on the bit part. Inferring that I believe crumbling is an overstatement.

Quote: Must be tuff to be a dookie now days, the bad news just doesn't seem to stop! Lets recap some of their recent troubles...

1) Deng enters the draft, signs with an agent, depletes dooks height. Now only 2 big guys to play for dook is SheWill and a thus far way under achieving Shav...Ouch!

2) Their prized recruit, the next coming of either Grant Hill or Magic Johnson (depending on which dookie ya listen to) is in the NBA draft and looks to be a lotto pick. Recent words from Livingston indicate he may be hiring an agent this weekend and killing any hope of he being a dookie.

3) Bobby Frasier burns it up at the TOC and commits to the TarHeels, after growing up with a dookie poster on his wall. After committing to the TarHeels, Roy requested - "Mr Frasier, clean up that wall", and he did! ( a salute to President Reagan)

4) Info from their prized pg recruit's in 05's dad, indicates he is considering playing football, deal not yet sealed. TarHeel fans across the country are hoping Mr Paulus does play basketball, cause he ain't Bobby Hurley!

5) Micha Downs commits to Kansas, K wiffs on another one! LOL

6) Tyler Hansbourgh will not even give K the time of day, even thou he tried so hard to get in with Tyler. Now it looks highly likely Tyler will take his game to the Hill, shortly after his UN-OFFICIAL visit this weekend!

7) The K family tree is, shall we say "SHADY Quinn"....LOLOLOL

8) UNC looks to be on the verge of locking up a top 10 center (in his class), more height and a quality player for the Heels!

9) The reality of Dockerry as their starting point guard is setting in...LOL

10) The reality of Shav having to play all world and for 40mins for dook next season is also beginning to set in!

11) Recent stories indicate their last hope for a 05 big man may be sinking, Boateng showing mush love for Georgetown!

12) HS Jrs and Sophs are all list UNC as the school of choice and very few mention dook any longer.

13) K's being exposed to the national media as the same kind of guy we all knew but the press never seemed to mention. Foul mouth, smarmy, players don't develope at the next level. Kids beginning to ask why dook players do not git-ur-dun on the next level

14) Duhon looking like a second rounder, if that, another shining dook success story. Traded the millions he could have got after his frosh season for the 3yr sociology degree, LOLOLOLOL

15) Ray, Rashad, and Sean all coming back next season! Marvin skipped the draft, UNC getting stronger and dookie gettin weaker!

16) Dook fans scream they will be NC contenders next season but none can offer a reason why! All they can say is because of K, what K post up like?

17) Dook fans now have to suggest how UNC's season will go in 06, cause 05 they know they can not compete with us! LOL

18) JJ still being a solid citizen at baseball games and in the dorm. What was it again, it was not my dope, I was just doing my homework in the middle of a smoke in! LOLOLOLOL

19) That darn info about Duhon and Boozers parents just will not go away!

20) Roy is killing K in recruiting, K is whiffing, Deng is missing, JJ is toking, dook fans are hoping, Sliv is going, Paulus is re-considering, Boateng is shopping, Quin is embarrassing, Ewing is wasting, SheWill is still denying, David Glenn is exposing, dook boards are dieing, Gooch is imagining, K's doc is perscribing, Ms Duhon is quitting, Mr Boozer is car selling, Magette is lingering, Dunleavy done leaving, JWill is recovering, KHUmp is with-holding, Dawkins is not hand shaking, K is still cussing, price increased for buying refereeing, Rat trap stocks are sky rocketing, band wagon dookies are de-boarding, Vitale praise is not as glowing, dookie troubles seem to be growing, can it be long before K is retiring?

Gee, you think something from Tar Heel Nation is a bit biased towards Duke?

I don't care...I know that all the Duke haters will think that they will "crumble" in the upcoming season. A Duke team "crumbling" is still better than most teams. It does not matter. We can handle a subpar season (subpar by Duke standards by the way). Since Deng and Livingston did not stay, the team has no choice but to move on. It might take a bit of time, but it will happen. So what if we're not the best or we don't have a traditional Duke season...we still have a good basketball team. If you're a real Duke fan, you'll stick with them, especially with all the bullsh!t that will be said by opposing ACC fans in the upcoming season.
