Why are we suddenly the basement team in ACC Football? When did dook jump ahead of us? Just from one game last year? This certainly isn't my opinion, but I've heard it tossed around the accbbs recently

I think that has to do with what happened last year. Duke gained just a smudge of respect by playing NC State so close and then destroying Georgia Tech who had just come off of 4 straight wins and then finished the year by beating you guys at your house. I'm sure the perception will switch back next year if you guys can pull off some good quality wins.

That kinda gets under my skin, too. They certainly bested us last year, but I'm not sure that makes them the better program. Actually, I'm pretty sure it doesn't. They were a senior-laden team, and they lost a lot of guys that carried them (Douglas and Wade, for instance). In contrast, we were a really young team... and we should be a great deal older this year.

But, we lost to them at home -- so they can say whatever they want. I hope we run through a lot of folks underestimating us this year, just so we can shut them all up.

Well if we're talking program then you are absolutely right, they are not better. I'm only stating the perception that was built from last year.
