A press conference has been set for Monday @ 5:30pm which includes a major announcement... I'll guess we'll find out pretty soon which jersey he'll be suiting in... Here's to hoping he picks UNC!

The fact that Coach Williams is in Greece makes me nervous, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed too.

Wow, this would be huge. Even if everyone leaves after our great season, we are gonna be set for the future.

Every "guru" out there has him at UNC. Who knows. I will believe it when I see him in that beautiful blue uniform.

I wish tomorrow would hurry up and get here. I'm not doing anything important today anyway. The suspense is killing me.

Update: Ben Sherman is confirming the rumors. Maybe there is hope. I trust Ben more than the other guys.

From IC:

Inside Carolina has confirmed through sources close to the situation that Tyler Hansbrough will announce Monday evening that he has decided to commit to North Carolina. Hansbrough, a 6-9, 225-pound power forward from Poplar Bluff (Mo.) High, chose the Tar Heels over finalists Kentucky, Kansas and Missouri.

Daggone, Ben! You were posting that while I was posting the same update from Ben Sherman. The news must be spreading fast. Glad to see you're on the alert! Let us know if you hear anything else.

Looks like we dropped our offer from John Brockman after the commitment was announced. He's no longer on the offered list on Inside Carolina...

I was under the impression that we weren't on Brockman's final three list and that's why his name was dropped.

oh ok... that sounds good... I just assumed we withdrew our offer because of Hansbrough... Thanks Bomber...

I think that to some extent the likelihood of Hansborough coming to UNC was enough to make Brockman tentative at best in his interest from the beginning. Some folks just like to be asked.

We will be fine without Brockman. I think he will end up at UCLA anyway. I would love to see us get Bynum as he is another Heywood type. I have to believe Hendrix is bound for the NBA (even though he should go to college) or Alabama. Tis a great day to be a Heel.

I would love to see Bynum also putting on the Carolina Blue... If we landed Hendrix, that would be insane!

Who do you guys think Williams will devote his attention to now out of the 5 we have offered???

Bynum and Green. I think he has done everything he can with Hendrix. I am sure he will continue to send him information, but the kid will make up his mind when he is ready. Bynum can be a big help and has let it be known that he would love to play with Tyler. Green is next I believe.
