I just want to say that as MD fans you should be embarassed by your Atheltic Department's decision to deny ESPN2 opportunity to televise the Maryland/NIU opener in what will be just an incredible game. I understand there is still shell shock over what happened last year, but I think a wrong decision was made out of fear to avoid another PR disaster. A great football game will not be seen by anyone across the country just because of a few sweaty palms in the Athletic department.

Hey MaddDawg: just for the record, I'm still in disbelief that the NIU/Wake Forest games from 2001 & 2002 didn't get televised. Looks like those sweaty palms in an athletic office must belong to NIU's crew because Wake's OOC game vs. Boston College got TV coverage last year.

The game in Dekalb between Wake Forest and NIU was televised by Fox Sports Net. Thanks very much.

But it was not shown outside of the Chicagoland viewing area. Those of us with Fox Sports South did not see it. Thanks for playing.

Actually, whichever FoxSports Wake fans get, saw the game, because I remember the Wake fans complaining about the homer announcers.

The Wake fans who complained about the homer announcers were watching in the Chicagoland area. We do have alumni & fans all over the country, not just in NC.

Guys rest assured.......NIU will never, I repeat never, ever pass up a chance to show any of their games nationally. We need all the exposure we can get, even if we might be outmatched. Think about what your saying........
