VT is in the driver's seat - leading the rest of the ACC teams with the #1 ranking. It's up to you to stay there, cause FSU (#2) and Miami (tied at #3 with Virginia) are all hoping you will lose one of your up coming games.

But for now... my hat's off to you Virginia Tech! 04-bow

I'm surely hoping we take care of business. Winning the ACC in our first year, a supposed rebuilding year, would be a HUGE statement. It would shut up all of our critics who said that we'd be nothing but middle-tier in the ACC every year. Of course, if we lose out, we will be middle of the pack. Personally, I think we lose to Miami, but beat UVA and Maryland.

Will you beat Virginia? Does Virginia Tech and Virginia have the kind of in-state rivalry that other schools, such as FSU and Florida have? I should also say FSU and Miami.

Remember, anything can happen in football. I never would have thought Clemson could go down to the Orange bowl and beat Miami. Then they turn around and lose to Duke :roflol: this weekend. Miami has been hurting lately, but got themselves revved up for their game against Virginia. Miami is just not stopping teams like they were earlier in the season. I read where they have players hurt; but at this time of year, who doesn't.

I think you lose to Miami, beat Maryland, and the game with UVA could go either way. Lane is a very tough place to play. It will be a classic game.

That's basically how I think it will turn out as well. I think we have a very good chance against UVA though. UVA has had a problem against speed teams this year and without Miami throwing points back at UVA that game could have been a blowout. I think VT loses to Miami though. They'll have revenge on their minds and they're very talented still. My guesses...

VT 20
UMd 10

VT 23
UVA 15

UM 28
VT 14

Honestly i believe we beat UMD because they are not very good this year. UVA shut them out to prove that. Also I do believe VT will beat UVA too because they are at Lane and its a tough place to play and it is rivalry. I think VT will lose at Miami in the Orange Bowl because I think Miami will be ready for Tech and I think they beat Tech by at least 10. So I am thinking Tech 9-3 playing in the Peach or Continental Tire Bowl.
