FSU and West Virginia will play in the Gator Bowl on January 1, 2005 at 12:30pm on NBC. The game will be shown nationally and Chris Rix has been named the starting QB.

Bobby Bowden coached at West Virginia before coming to FSU in 1976. Coach Bowden was only gonna stay at FSU a little while and was hoping to coach at Alabama. But the Noles lucked out and he stayed with us. :D

The Noles season has been horrible this season. Also i think it will stay this way till they inprove its QB situation. But this is a must need win against a strong rush team WV

It's more than the QB situation, trust me.
Changes/new hires will be made with the coaching staff (not Coach Bowden) and will be announced after the bowl game.
With the talent FSU has had the past few years they have underachived.
Dead last in the country in 3rd down conversions just for starters.
As for the QB's well lets just say its going to be a great battle for the starting QB position next year, most notably between Lee and Weatherford.

Since when is an 8-3 season HORRIBLE??? :rolleyes: Sure, the Noles are used to 10-win seasons, but I would hardly call this year's season as you did!!!

Xavier Beitia will be FSU's kicker once again. The senior was replaced in November by freshman Gary Cismesia. Cismesia made his first 7 attempts before missing 2 field goals against the gators.
