"Bring Back ETSU Football- FIRE STANTON AND MULLINS!"

Okay, I know I'm beginning to be a one-trick pony. But the fact all the other sports media in this town runs scared of these two and so we, the untainted and true voice of the fan, have got to keep the pressure up.

How about, "I'll bet we could beat Tusculum. Show your pride!"

I'm not so sure.

I once mentioned to Wayne Miller that there was a perception that "Tusculum is kicking our @ss."

He acted as if he couldn't even comprehend what I was saying.

However, I can show you in 2003 the ETSU football team lost to Elon, whereas the Pioneers beat the Phoenix.

Thus the, "could" instead of "would."

Those pioneers can be pesky. They'd definitey fit in the top half of the ASun in basketball. I suspect they would reign supreme in football.

On second thought, maybe I should change my suggestion to, "I bet we could beat Tusculum some of the time except, of course, in football. Show your pride!"
