I was looking at etsubucs.com and wondering-

What is a No. 51 ranking?

It says a whole lot about your athletic program that you are bragging on "Others Receiving Votes."

Not only that, but is 26 spaces away from counting?

Read the headline- it says "No. 51 ETSU beats Winthrop, 7-0."

And congrats to the Bucs- but wouldn't it be better to simply say "20-4 ETSU beats Winthrop, 7-0."

Doesn't that more accurately reflect the team's talent?

How prestigious is it to be ranked No. 51? I'm not even sure you get a bowl bid for that in college football.

By the way, tennis rankings are done by Fila. Now- if you go on their website, they say that the biggest win in the history of the tennis program was acheived back in January when ETSU beat No. 31 MTSU, 4-2.

We hired a guy who was the tennis coach to be our AD.

He was there for 15 years.

AND HE NEVER HAD A WIN AGAINST A TEAM RANKED IN THE TOP 30?

Yeah #51 is still not too impressive to me especially considering that Elon is #43. Sad this is all we have to brag about anymore.

Yeah.. I've never understood this CRAP. Would any self-respecting program laud the "accomplishment" of being ranked in the Top 60? Nevermind, self-resect and pride. No that's two tersm totally lost on this program.
