Interesting story in today's Birmingham News (and I think it's in a number of papers around the country) about money going to various conferences under the NCAA men's basketball revenue distribution plan.
A conference's annual share is based on number of teams in the tournament and how they fare over a six-year period.
The Big East, Big 12, ACC, Big 10, and SEC are the top five. Under this formula, the A-Sun has 7 units and a payout of $1.2 million (tied with America East, Big Sky, Metro Atlantic, and Southland), while the SoCon has 6 units and a payout of $1.06 million.
Here are links to Bham News story (which provides detail on the formula)and the NCAA charts:

By the way, the April 2 RPI is out (I assume this is the final one), and ETSU is No. 121 (Belmont is 112). SoCon is No. 19 among conferences and A-Sun is No. 24.
As a UAB fan, I find it interesting that UAB ranks below ETSU in the final RPI (so does Wake Forest).
