Comparing FGCU to ETSU
I look at a school like FGCU and see how commited they are to building a strong atheltic program and how far they have come, the energy and the drive they bring to it and then I look at what ETSU has done and can't really see where they are goig. The sad thing is that if both programs continue on their current paths in 10 years FGCU will have left ETSU in the dust. These is a school that hasn't even been around 10 years yet and only had teams since 2002-03 season. That is a sad statement about ETSU.

Look at where there programs are in Div II about to make the jump to Div II.
Quote:FGCU has the #1 ranked Div II mens golf team.

#1 ranked Div II womens basketball team (and they are in the Elite 8 of the tournament)

#23 ranked mens baseball.

#21 in Womens softball

#10 Womens Volleyball (made it to the Elite 8)

#15 Womens Tennis

#13 Mens Tennis

How is their club hockey team under the deft assistant coaching of Paul Stanton?

But I agree wholeheartedly. Gulf Coast is building something in a growing area.
