ETSU is going to eat its words soon. They don't see the potential we see by going to each game. We'll sweep them before we get off probation.

Smack Talk page may get interesting :) They'll come back with "We're bolting this AShame" instead of doing the unthinkable and help this conference make a name for itself which I think is the route KSU is taking.

I agree with the statements about marketing and where resources are being allocated. I mean really... is softball ever going to draw a crowd? umm no. Basketball needs to be our pride and joy. The ETSU fan I briefly talked with at halftime, while KSU had a 10 point lead, was a complete JA. His statement regarding "leagues" boggled my mind seeing that at this point in the game KSU had manhandled ETSU (due to our true potential). The behavior of the ETSU fans at the game did not surprise me at all, seeing how they act on the forum. Upon leaving the game I went to congratulate them on a big comeback and they proceeded to talk to trash- very classy.

I am looking forward to next season as well. The potential on our roster looks to lead to a very promising season. I believe, the close loses we have endured have been a direct result to lack of composure among some of our teams leaders and inexperience among many younger players. For instance, Kennesaw played great for the majority of the time in the UGA and ETSU games then when momentum shifts in any matter whatsoever our team seems to panic and reacts with poor scoring attempts and selection.

good to see u back on the board kev

as a former competitive basketball player and a person who is really really good at evaluating talent...ksu has the most talent of any team in the league. Problem is with that talent, we are so young and inexperienced.

Nickerson has the skill, the athleticism, and the fundamentals to become our best player as early as next year..and yes i'm aware that we have wooten and stegal coming back...yes better then them by next year. He's a lefty who can go to his right and use his right hand just as well as his left. very crafty post moves..reminds me of a european player. deceptive leaping ability and from what i can tell he listens and is willing to be coached. plus you add the fact that he's 21 and its his first year playing basketball since highschool, u can safely say the sky is the limit for him.

jonathan whipple...whipple whipple whipple. where to begin with this guy. i'll say this...athletically..he's as gifted as Wooten. great leaper, his stamina is argubly the best on the teams and he's got the quickness of a 2 guard. He's got a great Rocker step..i've only seen him use it once or twice in games(100 times in practice) and each time he's used it he's been able to drive to the basket for what should of been a monster throwdown, but he passed the ball up. The man plays excellent defense and he is already a good rebounder who's getting better. He's a freshman so i guess he's playing like...well like a freshman..nervous and tentative. though in the past few games i'm seeing more confidence in him which is good because he can become an all conference player easily and will replace wooten as our human highlight reel.

Keyonte Keith...amazing talent. reminds me of a poor mans dwayne wade(cept he doesnt travel). he needs to learn the game a little better and not be afraid of taking shots and going to the basket. with his quickness and his excellent ball handling, he will be our starting 2 guard next year. i originally wanted him to be the guy to take over Goldens spot next year, but after watching his play and looking at his basketball mentality, i've noticed he's more of a scorer and not a pointguard type player. which is fine, i dont mind having another scorer. defensively, he can lock down on anyone in the league and it scares me cuz he's doing this as a freshman. quick feet and has a good sense of where the ball is. needs to work on calling picks for his teammates, but thats something he'll get better on.

Zach berry, the man that will take Goldens pg spot. i doubted this man.. i felt his ball handling wasnt up to par to division 1 level, and i felt he was not going to help us whats so ever the next few years. well i am happy to say i was wrong. I dont know what this man was doing in the month of december, but his ball handling improved so much it scared me. and to this day it keeps getting better. Textbook jumpshot and is a great shooter and a lot more consistant then Golden. He doesnt possess the speed or strength golden has, but he plays with more composure and has the ability to lead this team to the next level.

and those are our big 4 freshman....and next year i am sure coach ingle will be recruiting some more athletes. The man found wooten when no one else would give him a chacne..look how that turned out. the man brought us Terence hill..a guy who could of played for any team in the country and prob start for any team in the country. the man knows how to recruit.

Well if nothing else for the smack talk is that they're talking back. lol, it's kind of fun. I hope this doesn't turn into one troll board though even if I did open up the can of worms.

Unfortunately KR, there are classless fans at every University, I can assure you that the vast majority of ETSU fan are just extremely loyal and passionate, just like you guys on here. Be careful not to paint ETSU fans with a broad stroke.

I have no doubt that you guys are on the rise. Your undoubtedly have an advantage being located in a major metropolitan area. Your talent is at a high level, and it will continue to rise as you become more recognized and tournament elgible.

Good luck
