Lipscomb Game
This was my pick to steal one on the road and CU couldn't finish. Looks like rebounding and foul shooting made the difference. Gotta make better decisions in late game situations with shots and protecting the ball. Preimeter defense needs to pick up as well.

Yep. I listened to it. Weren't we something like 6-14 in FTs? Camels played well throughout and led most of the game. JRod came out big in the 2nd. CU didn't score in the last 3 possessions, though.

Campbell is a half game up on Stetson for that 7th seed in the tournament. Hatters next host JU, then travels to KSU/ETSU. That's a little tougher than Campbell's remaining games (@ Belmont, vs G-W). Just don't want to be that 8th seed that will most likely have to play ETSU in the first round (esp after the Bucs' first round loss last year).

Right now, I'm kinda thinking Campbell might play Belmont, Lipscomb, or Jacksonville in the first round as a 6 or 7 seed. Maybe Mercer. (Standings are still jumbled.) Camels can beat any of these teams, especially on a neutral court. Who do we want? Who do we NOT want?!!

we want BELMONT or LIPSCOMB, and def we dont want anyone else ... it would be so embarassing for us to have to play mercer or something and loose. but if we play belmont or lipscomb and come out of the 1st round with a W then maybe that will give us some confidence to go into round 2 and play a lil harder. but we need to beat a strong team to begin with and i think those are gonna be the two options...

I was pulling for you guys last night. Young teams tend to always struggle on the road.
As i've said before, I think you're a player or two away from being really tough.
At any rate, teams like Campbell scare me come tourney time

I think we would be much better against Lipscomb, Belmont or Mercer.

We do not want to play ETSU and I think we could also have a tough time with Jacksonville's size.

We have beated Blemont once, could have beaten Lipscomb either time and should have beaten Mercer both times. I think we have a good chance on a neutral court against any of those teams.

The loss last night was disappointing. We really led most of the 2nd half and could not convert in the half court game for the last two possessions. Lipscomb of course always plays the half court game and made two timely scores. I think the guys played well and hung in there. I thought we would get blown out on the road. It was an improvement over some of our other road games.

We are close to pulling off some big wins.

Not to look to far ahead but next season:

Dapo and Eddie are going to be playing

Reggie, Jake, Ruell will be a great senior backcourt

J-Rod and Kyle would have the whole offseason to bulk and improve

The new recruits sound talented, specially Cass who I believe will contribute his first year.

thoughts?

Well you won't be playing Mercer. Looks like JU, Lip, or Belmont. With an outside shot of falling and playing ETSU.
