Campbell Game
Not that bad of a showing tonight, we can build on it hopefully if we keep winning. Maybe they will have to pull the side stands down for once and we can see how loud the place can really get :)

Students actually showed up but I talked to about 5 people who said that it was cool they got to watch it on TV. I'm wondering why they just didn't get out of their cozy apartments and came to the game. Anyone else have similar stories?

I liked the game, never really out of control the whole night. Ingle was moving the ball well. Wooten shot 50% FT% last night as did the rest of the team. If we would have shot 80% though, the game wouldn't have been close. Tack on another 7 points... oh well, a W is a W. I was impressed.

Yea the first part of that game was incredible, Ronnel was on FIRE then coach took him out and he didn't do anything else the rest of the day basically.

Awesome... I was already pre-gaming the Super Bowl. I could have made it but I had people coming over. I saw that no attendance thing coming. There was also a hockey tournament at the Cooler that some went to. It's all good though, got the text messages via Cingular's alerts. Those are nice. Tells half and final scores for any D-I program.

does anyone know why coach sits players that are doing well? Wooten was incredible then he sat him pretty much the remainder of the game. Zach was doing well 2 at the Campbell game, and i finally saw his confidence start to increase and right when that happend..again benched. Nickerson also had a fantastic game..i think he has a chance to be the best player in a year or two..and again he was benched for about 10 min. anyone know why coach does this?

He's trying to keep the FG% around 38% which is absolutely painful for an average. 10th in the league btw. Not surprisingly 26% from the arc (10th) and 63% from the line (8th).

This seasons over but those percentages have to come up if we're going to be a front runner.

I wish I knew this also. Ronnel didn't looked winded or tired at all, he was having a great time draining threes left and right. He had basically all of our first half points, and Ingle took him out with about 6 minutes left in the 1st half. In the 2nd he had ronnel on the bench for a good ammount of time for whatever reason and when he WAS in he looked off. I would have been livid had we lost that game considering at the start ronnel was on track to have 60 points by himself.

Ya wooten looked great... started like 5 of 6 from three pointers and Ingle boggled my mind with his choice of sitting him. The guy had 20 points in the first 10 minutes of the game I mean really!?!REALLY!?! I think he ended up only playing 27 minutes... WHipple is starting to gain some confidence though which is going to be a good thing.

Zach is gaining confidence 2 as is nickerson. Nickerson really impresses me, and i think he very well could be our best player in a year or two.

Next home game is a Sat game, against ETSU. we need to advertise for this game. We can def win it if we have that student support like we did for Campbell.

Was the attendance for the Campbell game because it was on TV? I hope not. We need that many students or more at every game. Anything less is not acceptable. It was a great game though. I was having a blast behind the drumset.

sadly, the attendence may of been because it was on tv...but at the same time, it helped that striped crew advertised for the game with signs all over campus. they should do that again with the last 3 home games, especially for etsu.

I designed the signs... I thought they looked pretty good. We're trying to get them reprinted with updated information. I'll probably know by tomorrow what the chances of that are going to be.

I hope student attendance is high for this game. I think ETSU is my favorite school to play because of the intense gameplay. We always seem to step up to the challenge so hopefully this isn't any different. And we should have won on TV the first damn time. ug... still not over that.

If you know other ways to advertise, let me know... Facebook events work to some degree, signs helped a lot, posters aren't that effective, if someone wants to chalk it up, go for it... a sign on Chastain Road? If we're going to advertise, might as well try and do it right. I'm tired of Kennesaw not thinking big. Small is great but word of mouth is not advertising by any stretch of the imagination.

Seems some of the signs were stolen (go figure, signs on a campus) and those were pretty costly to print. I'll know more after tomorrow. They need to do large installation signs like they did in front of the Spec Landrum and Soccer field. Then the trick is updating them regularly so they're not overlooked. Walking out of that parking deck is extreme pedestrian traffic flow. Chastain/Frey Lakes would be great for larger, vehicle traffic flow signs.

Do I think they'll do it? Not this year but it needs to be in the works for next. Something big, something installed, something that grabs attention.

People steal signs all the time from campus. Chalk isn't free and the time to do it isn't free but I understand it's cheaper than corregated signage. Put it this way. I could have went to Home Depot and bought paint, plywood and 2x4's to construct a 10 foot sign for the price of those signs.
