At this point, we know Birmingham-Southern @ home will be our first game but that's about it. A few "pressing" questions.....

Feb 7th is approaching. Can we anticipate hearing about some recruits then?

I'm surprised an announcement of a Pioneer invite still hasn't occurred. Could it be that something is in the works with Iona/Marist/Lasalle/St Peters too and, thus, the delay? When will we know?

When will we start seeing some work on a stadium? I'm guessing we won't have an actual completed stadium in '08. Maybe just a field and some bleachers? Will it definitely be over past the soccer field? I heard someone mention the possibility of putting it on 421 across from Burkot/McCall/Small.....that would definitely be more visible but pedestirians would have to cross a 4-lane highway.

Also, any word on the uni colors? I have no idea how good or bad the Camels will be, but there's potential for great-looking uniforms!

i myself am looking forward to the uniforms ... we can look good even if aint good.....i heard the field is going to be on the other side of the soccer/softball field across the road in that field, but it looks like here the urgency is for the new basketball stadium ... they are coming along with that pretty quickly i think.

I think that they are still trying to finalize a location for the stadium to be built.

As far as signing day, you won't get anything officially from Campbell b/c it would be against NCAA rules. Since it is non-scholarship football, the players are not signing anything to commit to play at Campbell so it can't be officially released.

Drake will furnish their commitment list to the Des Moines Register next week, as they've done the past two years.

I just got out of the SGA meeting, and according to Dr. B-more, they are def thinking about having the field over by 421.

We're talking at cross purposes here. The lead story on the CU football page says there are already 20 football recruits attending school. They have been admitted. Releasing their names would be in compliance with the NCAA rule I posted.

It has been reported that names will be released. Let's wait and see.

The players that already enrolled in school yes....the players that will be freshman next season, no.

It looks like they were all in the local paper today. I reckon that settles it. There appears to be 34 for NC and some from SC, FLA, VA and PA.
