Versus: GA Southern (tied at Half 29-29)
From the radio it sounds like we are doing well with GA Southern. We had a 25-15 lead that was given up when GA Southern finished the half with a 14-4 run. Hope we can pull this off.

what a game. very physical. every possession seemed huge. tough loss but at the same time, if we play like that every night in conf we will be more than fine as we get better. like i said in an earlier post i think we will be up and down as our point guard florence plays. he played so good tonight that i hate bringing up the negative about the game. but we had the ball, tie game, 2 second shot clock/game clock differential. he drives it in early in the shot clock instead of holding for the last shot so we get overtime or the win. freshman mistake. ga southerns kid comes back and makes the same stupid mistake, but just hits the shot. florence picks up his dribble and get stuck on the last play and forces up a long three that would have won it. lose by 2. so i'm disappointed in the loss, but if we play like that thurs, i am thinking we will get a win(especially if etsu is still missing their pg). Hope for the Bears is back.

I agree with you mubear. I listened to the whole game. (I'm up in ATL now, so can't be at every game like before) I was very impressed from what I heard. Sounded like we missed a few easy shots, had a bunch of shots blocked, and way too many turnovers. Positives are that we can rebound this year, solid defense, and pretty good shooting.

I am looking forward to seeing the new guys like Henry and Florence (J-Flo on the radio, lol) ... Florence sounds good, except like you said he takes some bad shots sometimes, and maybe too many shots. but he's young.

Coach Slonaker said post game on the radio that he should have called timeout at the end to tell Florence to hold the ball and let the clock run down to almost zero. Thats good to hear, because I hate giving them the ball with that much time at the end.
