Lastly, this is arguably our worst team ever...and we've had some bad ones....

Since when does that matter in a UCF vs. Stetson game? I can only remember one game on the top of my head when we really controlled the score board.

You don't have to be long time members of the A-Sun to understand that UCF fans are delusional. From their overrated and now benched NFL quarterback, to their liar of a football coach (atleast Mike Price got laid during his scandal), and the fact that they have a ridiculously large enrollment and aren't any better than they are. I just found it a shame that ETSU never got to play them.

To say this is the worst team we have ever had is a little harsh especially since you are all the way out in CAli now...

My opinion is based upon four factors: 1) Sagarin index of which we rank 298. (I believe only twice has Stetson been ranked this low.); 2) The results of the three games we've played. (Lost by 12 to a very weak Army team, barely beat one of the worst teams in Division I for our sole win in three contests, and were blown out by MO.); 3) The friends I've spoken with who have attended the games. All have said that we are absolutely horrible and would be lucky to finish in the top 8 in the league; 4) The complete absence of any bench scoring.

I hope I'm wrong and will be the first to admit it if I am..

one exhibition and in a few practice sessions, but they are knowledgeable basketball fans and just don't see the talent level there...not that we've exactly been known as a basketball school over the years.

Again, I'm hoping I'm wrong and would love to support a committment to winning basketball by the University. I just don't believe we have the resources to do that at this time and it will continue to show on the court.

I guess "blowout" is a subjective term. The unoffical litmus test for blowout among the sports writers I have known and worked with feel that a 15-point margin more or less fits into this category. While a hard and fast definition is beyond the realm of possibility for various factors, I would argue that there is no question that when you lose by 21 points in a game in which you only score 45 points, a 21-point loss (regardless of the half-time score) is most definitely a blowout.

Again, if I'm proven wrong here I will be the happiest chap in the world, bar none. Let me pose a question to you...what do you believe would be an accurate Sagarin rating?

By the way, I hear Pete is really excited about his new recruits, the most he's been about an upcoming class since the phenom class of four years ago. He extolled the virtues of Johnson and Frawley at the big dinner party.

KOS, aren't you being a little overly dramatic? We beat NC A&T, hung in there with Mizzu and are giving UCF a run for their money as we speak. From what I heard, the team's playing extremely aggressively.

FYI, Army is 3-1 with their only loss coming to Mizzu (which was only by 9). They just beat Hartford tonight.
