One of the AM stations is planning on carrying 20+ of Kings basketball games with Bill Meade doing the play by play.

Yeah and they have a stronger signal at night. Apparently King > ETSU!

Must be pretty important to Meade. When KC has an away game, Meade will be absent from Sportsline as he travels to the away game site.

Of course they are both owned by Citadel Broadcasting otherwise they wouldn't let him do it. WJCW broadcasts some Science Hill games while WKIN broadcasts D-B games in Kingsport, they own a ton of radio stations all over the country and I sure they broadcast lots of local high school and college teams. what is stir the pot got to do with anything?

With one of the biggest proponents of George Pitts being at ETSU having one of the largest sports microphones in the area now doing King College basketball on the sister station of the flagship of the ETSU network? I guess you guys maybe weren't listening when Bill spent a half an hour talking about King's first game during Sportsline the Friday before the Blue-gold game.
BTW this does have a point, guys start calling his show during the week and dominate the conversation about the bucs. At this point it really is up to the ETSU fans to keep us in the forefront.

The difference is, there is about 25 King College fans in The Tri-Cities, while there are thousands of Bucs fans. I would hope he wouldnt dominate his show with King College crap. I mean hopefully he can fit the Bucs in somewhere between talking about the Vols and his beloved Celtics...which noone cares about.

I can't believe you said that about King College fans. I have it on good authority that there are at least 73 King College fans (including out of area alumni).

Isn't King in the same TSSAA conference as D-B and Science Hill...or am I mistaken?

King's Record
Big whoop 03-yawn

I can't find evidence on the SACS website that Knoxville College and Southern Virginia University are even accredited colleges. I could have missed the documentaion, but I doubt it. Makes them 2-1 in reality.

They may have a great team, but like all, it will probably be into their conference schedule before that question will be answered.

It is the same as ETSU dropping down to play the Wises, Milligans and Mars Hills of the world early season. I guess those teams do the same thing But fair enough King is 2-1 then ETSU 1-3.
Speaking of scores, Kings women beat Knoxville College 110-10.. not a typo.

BTW info on Sothern Viginia University. they lost to VMI 144-127. They also play Coastal Carlina and Liberty later this year. They are out of Lexington, VA.

Knoxville College

http://www.knoxvillecollege.edu/

as far as being accredited, not sure what the SACS has to do with basketball. I think Knoxville lost theirs about 10 years ago and are trying to get it back. I don't SVU has even been around for 10 years as a school. But again Not sure what that has to do with basketball. They are both NAIA schools and that seems to have alot more to do with it then SACS.

I absolutely agree that the win over Mars Hill and UVa-Wise really don't count at ETSU.
