Folks,
Lately I've been getting a lot of PMs from various posters about issues with posts that violate the terms of the AUP with namecalling and the like.
There are two schools of thought:
1) Delete the posts for their content.
2) Leave the posts up for everyone to see the original poster's ignorance.
Keeping that in mind, would you rather we keep things the way they are, or open up a second ETSU forum right below the main one called "ETSU Smack" which would not be as strict in following the rules of the AUP (certainly things like direct threats would be removed, but namecalling would be left alone).
This way, we could move any posts that were deemed "unfit for general consumption" from the main board to the smack board, rather than locking, editing, or deleting them.
Does that sound fair? Let me know what you think. I'd like to hear from you, the people this board is here for. Feel free to comment below on why you feel one way or the other.
