And they didn't have Tim Smith consistently choking at crunch time.

Getting back to point of the original post. Tim Smith and turnovers.

here are some interesting Stats

Tim smith turnovers per game 5.6 101 total in 18 games
On the road 7.1pg 64 in 9 games
at Home 4.1pg 37 in 9 games
He 27 more turnovers on the road then at home in same amount of games. 3.0 a game.

The most turrnovers he has had at home is 8.
on the road he has games with 11,10,10,9 and 8.

Now try and tell me he doesn't have a homer counting his TO's at home.
I go to the home games and I can certainly say that all the turnovers I see him commit don't end up on the stat sheet.

WHAT?

You are saying that people in Johnson City have overrated Tim Smith?

NO!

The next thing you will tell me is the Daytona 500 is bigger than the Food City race, Rick Pitino is a better coach than George Pitts, and that there wasn't a vast ESPN-conspiracy that cost Peyton Manning the Heisman Trophy.

You know what, he could go out Saturday against Stetson, score 40 points playing the two guard, with 14 assists, 10 steals and 14 rebounds, and someone on here will STILL say he doesn't have any talent. You know what? Brett Favre throws interceptions like it is nobodies business, in the prime of his career he made bad choices/throws, but he was a winner.
Tim did something that hasn't been done in the recorded history of ETSU basketball, not Mister, West, Geer, Niblett, Swift, or anybody, and he earned those ten assists with a baseball and football player keeping stats.
ETSU doesn't have a good statkeeper for basketball, period. They miss the turnovers, they miss the assists, but you know what Rod, I see signs in and around the Dome ALL THE TIME that they are looking for help in that department, so if you know how to do it, then I suggest volunteer your time. You can contact Mike White in Media Relations, I'm sure he'd love to have you come on board and keep stats.

If he scores 40 points against Stetson he'll be doing it against a team that YOU could score 35 against.

And I've never even seen you move!!!!!!!

It depends on whether or not they give me a Stetson hat... :-)
They aren't that good, but in time, they'll improve.
