BOILING SPRINGS — It’s amazing how emotions can swing from one week until the next in college football.

GWU walked off the field at Conway, S.C., after a gut-wrenching 34-31 defeat at the hands of Big South defending champion Coastal Carolina. Seven days later it was the Bulldogs celebrating in Lexington, Va., after a roller-coaster triple-overtime decision against league rival VMI, 55-52.
