Awesome!...Glad you're here, Jeremo. (I saw your name pop up occasionally on ucf.rivals.) Can't wait to see how KSU does next year. Their first year in D-1 will be very interesting.

I have no idea about the others on the KSUtalk.com board. The only time I really ever participate on that board is when someone is talking about KSU sports and that is very rarely on there. Usually it's just a bunch of liberal jibber jabber...no offense to any liberals out there.

Here we have a "Spin Room" forum on the Lounge for all the politi-pundits to go to. However it seems to be dominated by Libertarian-style doctrine and middle-of-the-road conservatives. I think most of them would be torn to shreds in there. :D

FWIW: Not only am I a registered Libertarian, but I voted Badnarik for President and libertarian in the US Senate and US HOR races in my area too.

You may be the first, but not the only any longer. Everone should be glad that KSU is not eligible for post season play for the first couple of seasons. We are here to dominate in Mens Basketball, Womens Soccer, Mens Baseball and Womens Softball. Nothing less.

Jeremo, I am "let's Play Football" from the other forum. I'll spend more time here giving the rest of the A-Sun a shoulder to cry on when the FIGHTING OWL begins it's attack.

For future reference, those kinds of replies belong in the <a href='http://www.ncaabbs.com/forums/asun/invision/index.php?act=SF&f=4' target='_blank'>Smack Talk Forum</a>

BTW, welcome aboard Jeremo. I'd like to see KSU and Ga Tech kickstart a new series in basketball and/or baseball.

Yeah I'm really excited about KSU playing the "big" schools in Georgia. I went to Georgia Southern before KSU and always loved watching GSU play Tech even though Tech owned us 90% of the time. Tech and KSU played at exhibition game at the beggining of the season in bball. Tech beat us by 20, but I don't think that's that bad considering we're D2 playing one of the top bball teams in the nation. So yeah, I'm really hyped about hopefully watching some GT, UGA, Ga Southern, Ga State, and etc. vs KSU games. Go OWLS.

Not to rain on your parade or anything dude...but State has been trying to schedule Tech, Georgia, and Southern for years now and they won't come near us with a 100 foot pole. So I don't think they'll schedule you guys either....especially if you guys prove quickly that you can be a competitive D1 team. The "big schools" (and I put that in quotes 'cause only UGA is larger then State, and Southern is good but there not that far above State if they're above at all) have to much to lose by playing us or and likely Kennesaw in the future. 'Cause if they lose then that looks bad to thier recruits and it establishes legitimacy for that program in the state (i.e when we beat UGA in 2001, and 2002); and if they win...then it doesn't really help them 'cause they were supposed to win any way.

Thats what ticks me off. The schools from bigger conferences are scared of playing small schools with talent, because of that exact reason. "They have everything to lose". We have a tradition of playing Georgia Southern in sports, I guess they are a "rival" with us. We are having success with them lately too 03-wink

I understand what you're saying completely. But, I think KSU will have a much simpler time scheduling those teams in basketball just because we havn't proven ourselves in bball yet. Baseball is a different story, I believe we will be able to get games with these schools right away. I put "big schools" in quotes because in the state, the three largest schools, in terms of attendance, are UGA, State, and KSU. Anyway, when I was at GSU it annoyed me how Tech would not and still will not play us in football. They're afraid. They will schedule the Citadel and Samford before GSU, an in state school that would draw. And I don't think UGA will be playing GSU anymore either after the game last year...oh well.
