Burrowing,

I feel UCF is now a lock with 42 wins. As for you guys, you deserve it. The way you guys played the last month of the season was truly amazing. Incidentally, I have heard Coach Dunn say that he prefers to get in by winning the tourney; for once in five years it's happened.

As for the tourney, I believe we showed that we have the best offense in the league, the best defense, and appear finally to be getting some pitching. On top of that, we have played very well in our last eight games (winning 6 of them) against excellent competition (lost to Florida only after some late heroics by the Gators in their last at-bat). In the last week and a half, we were playing the best ball in our fine league with FAU not far behind.

By the way, I enjoyed meeting you and coach Cooney this season. I got a chance to chat a couple times briefly during the tourney and I have to say, he comes across as a great guy.

hope u get in!

KOS

Thank you Stetson, I'm so glad you won it. I didn't want a team winning it who was leaving.

Great to hear those compliments by a loyal member of our fine league! (I believe you echoed the sentiments of all the programs who are remaining.) I'm looking forward to seeing this kind of comradeship shared between league members.
By the way, I and a lot of Hatter fans will NEVER forget your entire coaching staff chanting "Stetson" at the 2003 NCAA Regionals in our great win against #4 in the nation Georgia Tech. You guys personified class and conference loyalty.
In closing, our fine institutions have chosen different paths within our league to do what is best for our respective schools. Good luck on the basketball court next year!
Go ASUN!!!

Yea man. I'm looking forward to seeing what Stetson does with its' auto bid trip. I may be a little distant from the board until basketball starts, but I won't be far! Also-- I love watching other a-sun teams when Mercer is out, it's always nice to see other A-Sun teams do well outside of the conference. good luck to stetson and any at large bids if any.

I wish you had been up front with your sentiments BEFORE the tournament began. Knowing you were hoping for UCF, FAU, Troy, and Georgia State to lose would have been illuminating.
