I saw them practicing in the intramural courts the other day. its a change to see so many girls on the team. there had to be about 20 of them. from what i hear from my source on the volleyball team is that they got some really good freshman. A girl named Claire Tucker could end up rewriting the record books up here. they have made great progress the last 2 years in just making the conf. tourney and i think they feel they can make a run at the upper echelon in the league. i heard unf is a power, but not post season eligible..so after fau and maybe belmont hopefully the girls can make an impressive run this year. all you got to do is get to that tourney and you never know what could happen. i feel there is an outside chance we might have 2 fall sport teams in the NCAA tourney. i wouldn't bet on it, but i like at least feeling there is a chance at it. hope it happens. would be great around here.

The team is playing much much better than their record would make you think. Just wanted everyone to know that. They should do well in conference play. The schedule up til now has been very tough opponents mixed with a little bad luck at times.

Mercer defeated GA State last night 3-2 in a very exciting match. It was a lot of fun to watch and it really was a key win to help the morale of the team. Hopefully they can roll off a few conference wins this weekend.
