Just wondering if any of the posters on here plan or are thinking of making the trip to Macon for a basketball game this coming year? The only place I plan on going in the A-Sun is kennesaw vs. Mercer

Buc fans generally assemble a pretty good road crew to travel to away games, so I'm sure myself and some others will make the trip to Macon. Plus, I never been there so I'd like to come.
One positive thing about moving from the Socon is getting to see different venues, teams and players. I wasn't crazy about leaving the Socon, but this is one thing I'm looking forward to.
Are you planning on coming to Johnson City for the tournament?
On a different note, what's the outlook for Mercer's bball squad this year?

I would like to come up for the tourny in Johnson city... depends how the Mercer team looks at the time though. Our teams outlook is very good in my eyes. 3 returning starters, a key transfer player, and enough prospects on the bench to fill the spots. I'm excited about it. Macon's pretty central to all the teams in the conference, so I see a lot of road fans, but I've never talked to any of them.

I travel to Macon and South Georgia on business about ten times a year and try to get to Mercer or Ga Southern games if I can time it right. The last game I attended at Mercer was at the Coliseum vs. Georgia State (probably 5 years ago). I've peeked inside University Center, but I'd love to catch a game there. We'll see.
Bucfaithful, if you're interested in venues there are four new arenas in the A-Sun (KSU, Mercer, Lipscomb, Belmont) but you really need to experience a game at Campbell. Carter Gym is the 2nd smallest in D-1 and averaged around 85% capacity last year during a 2-25 season. It's loud, hot, cramped, and a blast! ETSU plays @ CU on a Saturday and all Saturday games at CU are in the afternoon. You should try to make that trip! If you ever went to games @ Elon, Buies Creek is an hour further down the road.
