It doesn't matter...

To hear them tell it, there will be 55,000 OM fans there that day anyway.

If we keep on giving them tickets they will have that many.

Our fans had better come out in full force and buy these damn tickets.

We don't "give" the tickets away.

Can't argue with that point....Chattanooga hung more points on us than your piss poor team did last season...

EDIT: Come to think of it....you scored the fewest points against us out of ANYBODY we played last year.....nice job, boys...

Chalk that one up under sad, but true.

With the Rebels implementing a new system this season, I really wouldn't be surprised if we keep them under single digits. It will take several games for their offensive personnel to start clicking and running smoothly. And say what you will about Joe Lee, but he'll be bringing the house against the easily rattled Spurlock on almost every play.

I could definitely see a final score of something like 21-7 Memphis.

I wish someone would take an aerial photo of the game to shut those nits up. Sure, the red will appear fairly substantial because 95% of Mississippi fans will wear red as opposed to about 60% of Tiger fans (who will wear white, yellow, green, purple and every other imaginable color).

Author's note: I do believe we have come a long way, though. The % of blue in the stands has increased substantially in the last 2 years.

Wear blue!

I have had some pretty serious conversations with many a rebel fan and even a few ut fans about "what they think they bring to the libertybowl" and what is really there on game day. I make a point to look at sections and do a rough estimate based on the capacity of the stadium how many visiting fans there are - most of them are not close. I taped the last Tigers -vs- rebels game two years ago and it is easy to point out the crowd - about 65% Tigers -vs- 35% Rebels - have watched that tape a lot of times and if you guys have it you will see the 65/35 breakout. Let the rebels talk about their crowd - last time I checked the Tigers -vs rebel games in Oxford are usually the most attended and are at least in the top ten or five of the stadiums entire history. I believe the Tigers/rebels game last year outdrew rebels/Auburn or some other top SEC visitor. 04-rock

I wish we could get that printed on the tickets!

If you were an Ole Miss fan, wouldn't you snap up tickets to a game in Memphis?

Look at where they play this year:
Oxford
Nashville
Knoxville
Auburn
Starkville

Only one of those, Nashville is a decent place, but then you have to watch Vandy & Ole Miss. 03-puke

Draelius, those 3000 extra tickets you mentioned are selling really well. Last I heard on Wednesday, we're under 1300 remaining tickets of the additional ones we requested. We may yet ask for more as Memphis has plenty to give according to their ticket office. At $45 a pop, they are obviously prepared to sell as many as they can. A lot of our fans have been ordering through their ticket office to get better seats, so I haven't been too worried about our fans not getting tickets.

Good point, I want Tommy West on the radio warning the pregnant women to stay home, even the ones with Mississippi gear.
