Tulane didn't even play a "home" game last season. Sometimes, er most of the time, the NCAA does things that just don't make sense. This is one of those times.

I guess teams like south florida get a pass because they are part of the almighty BCS.... what a joke. notice the scoreboard -this isn't pregame.

[/b]I'd write them a letter back saying "Worry about the ****ing criminals in BCS programs and boosters paying off athletes FIRST, then come talk about attendance, jack@ss."
Dear NCAA,
We apologize for not meeting the minimum attendance requirement in football. We realize that this is a grievous offense to intercollegiate athletics. The NCAA

simply stunning...it really worries me that there are 7 MAC schools on that list. that is just over half if you count the associate member temple.

USF inflates its attendence #s... but their official is 30k per game... UCF and WV games saved them big time ... had over 40k for both of them.

It seems like it would be fair to say that attendance in SB football is improving. Woulld all of you say that is a trend for most SB teams? Given the rabid ferver for college football in the south, is it realistically possible that we could see several Sunbelt teams regularly drawing 30,000+ in the near future?

Attendance is improving at most SBC schools. There is still too much road whore about the Sun Belt though. I'm saying that with MT playing Oklahoma, Maryland, and South Carolina on the road. But instead of Oklahoma and S. Carolina, MT had UAB (home game) and vandy (like a home game) before those two schools backed out.
As far as attendance, MT should be in good shape in the future. The game with Louisiville at the Titans' stadium is a MT home game. Next season we have Virginia at home in Floyd Stadium. Maryland the following year, and Memphis a couple of times in years after that and Georgia Tech is coming to Floyd Stadium as well. A new four-year deal with vandy is supposedly in the works with two of those games at Floyd. Attendance will not be a problem for MT.
If wku makes the move up to 1A and stays in the Sun Belt, the game between wku and MT will be THE mar-kee game in the Sun Belt and should be close to a sell out each time.

Looks like WAC membership didn't help Utah State's attendance numbers much either as many of their fans proclaimed. Amazing also that Bowling Green is on that list. I thought they were one of the better MAC schools. What are they doing sharing company with Akron, Buffalo, Kent State, and Eastern Michigan?
