Welcome to the boards you guys!

One question

Is there anyone in this conference that can realistically compete with you guys next season in basketball?

And

Who is the power football team in the sunbelt?

Strangely enough, the team seemed to play with much more intensity without Marcus. Certainly they were the number one three point shooting team in the nation during Macus' absence. What was it, 48% at one point? They seemd to get flat when he got in...maybe they didn't feel the need to compensate when he was on the floor.

Terpy,

Probably Louisiana will be a strong competitor for the SBC and maybe Arkansas State. I'm looking for NMSU and FIU to surge as well. WKU will have some monster hosses (Doe and Brown) coming in and I can hardly wait to see Anthony Winchester play. Geez, Rumph and Massiah sound like great players too....could we be loaded up again?!? I hope so!!!!!!! Info on Rumph/Massiah

Oh yeah, I forgot

WKU plays football in the Gateway Conference (Division 1AA).

But on SBC football, I would expect MTSU to be mad at the "exploding cigar" effect they had last year by "giving" the bowl bid up to UNT. I'm betting MT will get even and get winning.

Thanks for the well wishes. The only thing that bugged me about the game is how the press handled it by saying it was the first time in 30 years WKU had beaten uk. Well, that's somewhat right, but misleading. Just that pure statement suggests we've played every year. Actually it was only the 5th time ever in history we played uk. But this was never prefaced. And it sounded like they beat us every year. Since we've only played them five times in history, I'm wondering if WKU will see them again in my life time!

1971 WKU 107-uk 83. Athens, GA-NCAA tourney. Worse defeat rupp ever had in an ncaa tourney.
