You may find it interesting that case law that established "hate speech" and defined the limits of the First Amendment was decided 65 years ago. The decision also found a man guilty of bad mouthing all religion as he irritated several persons by calling all organized religion a "racket." Those darned liberal justices.

BTW... those with more experience with "zone", is it worth trying to debate or are you better off ignoring him?

Hate speech is a crock of crap, and anybody with half a brain knows it. I don't mind calling homos homos, and sometimes refer to a black guy as a stupid ******. Some black guys have earned that title. And I got tired of being hit on by homos, but I'm just not very good looking anymore so it hasn't been a problem recently. Homosexuality is an extreme sexual addiction and I applaud anybody that has the guts and courage to try and get out of it because it is extremely difficult.

gobaseline accused me of using "hateful words" and I didn't use a single one or even have a tone of hatred. gobaseline just couldn't argue against my points so he wimped out and said I was a racist and hateful which is childish on his part. But you guys are way past using reason and logic. You're just about personal attacks now.

BTW, I've got a book recommendation for you boys. I was watched this black lady on O'Reilly tonight discussing a book called Bamboozled. I think her name was Angela McGlowan. O'Reilly asked her all the tough questions I asked. He asked why is there a 70% illigetimacy rate among blacks. He asked her why blacks voted for dims in lock yet the dims are almost totally oppossed to moral guidance in the Christian church. Unlike the wimpy gobaseline, this lady actually had legitimate and real answers to the questions. I didn't know that libs actually paid black ministers to allow their politicians to come into their churches and preach--big money. However, republicans need not apply. There is some serious corruption in the black church.

Hateful word ******. You typed it, I didn't.

Being spineless? Hmm. It is becoming clearer now. I have always had an infinity for boneless chicken breasts. Maybe we were made for each other.

You know, boneless = spineless. lmfao Boy am I funny or what?

Spinelss (not boneless) is code for your acknowledgement that I DID answer your questions. Unless you do agree that it is the skin color of those Europeans and Scandies that make them act so abhorently.

You know End, my responses, though at times sharp edged, is not meant to demean you. I agree, we are not all equal. If so, I should request the 100mm sprint Olympic gold medal I never received. But honestly, I could be timed with a sundial. So clearly there were likely several hundred million folks faster afoot than I.

My point, and maybe it is your honest take, is that to simplify an individuals personal shortcomings, attributing it to entire demographic, then standing back and saying, "See, it's only them. They brought it all on themselves, they are like lepers, ostracize them!" Does nothing to resolve that problem.

The only "simplification" I honestly attribute any and all of those shortcomings, yours, mine, theirs, is our willful rebellion from God's good and perfect will for each of His creation.

I'm sure that there will be some if not many that "sided" with me in this little debate that are rolling their eyes walking away thinking that I'm one of those mental, emotional cripples that need the crutch of some mythical being that has not merit or standing by means of history, science or logic.

Fine.

No problem.

I was once there myself.

At any point I would be happy to discuss, debate or otherwise that point. I will admit on the forefront that there is faith involved. Much like the secular evolutionists that believe everything came from absolutely nothing. Now there is faith!

I'm not nearly so faithful.

I had to experience in my life the "coincidental" moments, that little voice in my mind that said, "Do it, dont do it", studing history, reading "eye witness accounts, listening to astrophysicists, reading the scientist who headed up the human genome project and on and on to "ramp up" a faith, struggle to hold onto it, slowly grow it and get to where I am comfortable in sharing it.

Most important and a little less "sexy" than hob knobbing with Intellectuals, Historians, Philosophers and Scientists is that regular folk, initally all from Western Michigan University made the biggest impression. Just living out what they believed on a regular basis making one heck of an impact on those they interacted with.

That's why in part it's called the Good News. 03-2thumbsup

I wouldn't call you spineless GBL, but I wonder if you're getting soft. You never used to decode your messages for us on BI. This must be the way you're reaching out to the people as you make your way left on the political spectrum. :patriot:

Regarding the Bills in Congress from my original post, the House version was read today.

Something to think about if you think that these "thought crime" bills will not succeed here:

In Finland, writer and blogger Mikko Ellila has received a letter from the municipal police in the Helsinki area where he lives, ordering him to appear for interrogation because what they call his anti-Muslim, pro-Israeli, pro-European, pro-American posts on his blog. He wrote to a fellow blogger in Australia (whose server is in the U.S.):

[quote]According to the letter, I am suspected of

Your absolutely right MileHighBronco. It this bill passes it is the end of free speech. Only PC speech will be allowed. I've been banned from a couple of sports boards for saying things about the black community that were very honest, but I was branded a racist--even though I am not. Imagine what will happen if this new bill becomes law. Imagine what it will do to conservative talk radio. Anything could be interpreted as hate speech.

I read on WorldNetDaily last night that it will pass the house & senate, and the only thing that can stop it is Bush. Given how Bush doesn't like to veto anything (because can't we all just get along?) I doubt that he will veto it. In fact I would be shocked if he vetos it. This is a bad thing in America. I wonder why none of the major news networks have talked about this? I haven't even really heard it talked about much on conseravtive talk radio.

Here is an indication how unlikely I believe it will be that this legislation gets vetoed.

The Equal Employment Oportunity Commission is suuing the Salvation Army because it dared enforce it's policy that employees speak English.

Watch there new state or federal laws after this that demand that businesses have a man or woman that can speak Spanish. Even your local bars and small businesses would have to have someobody that speaks Spanish. It's just not fair to force everybody to speak English--right? There's no end to the imagination of liberals once they get started.

The White House has publically stated that it would veto this bill if it reaches the president's desk.

Yeah it is speculation. What are your feelings about this? Or, do you just prefer to be a smart azz?

Does it matter at all to you that a proposal in Congress would create different classes of victims of crime? With differing penalties?

Do you care that your thoughts, feelings or something you might honestly say and believe could be the basis of a federal crime? That only speech acceptable to the authorities is OK? Which authorities get to decide what is acceptable?

Would it matter if the party in "charge" in D.C. changed and your favorite causes were now thought to be NOT politically correct anymore? THEN would it matter to you?

Or would you just wait until this gets passed and then decide that maybe it isn't such a great idea?

I brought this issue up because it is an idea that is fundamental to this nation - free speech, even if it is not popular. Even if it is reprehensible.

"I may not agree with you, but I will fight to the death for your right to say it...."

BTW, Moe, I did see some things this evening that might signal that Shrub might actually veto it.
