Pilipovich - Air Force Academyi
Air Force Names Two Assistant Basketball Coaches
Air Force men's basketball coach Jeff Reynolds announced today that Rob Pryor and Dave Pilipovich will join his coaching staff as assistant coaches. Pryor, who was an assistant coach at the Academy in 2005-06, spent last season in the same capacity at Siena College, while Pilipovich was an assistant coach at the University of Michigan for the past two seasons. Both coaches will join the Falcon program immediately.

I'd heard that
Andy Moore was a candidate at Va. Tech for a vacant slot. Va Tech had an assistant coach move up to the HC position at Radford.

That slot was filled by a George Mason assistant coach.

To use a draft day expression, "Andy Moore is still on the board" to the best of my knowledge.

I believe him to be a very good assistant coach that would fit well in a lot of programs.

LAMONTA STONE
It should also be noted that Lamonta Stone has been retained unfer the new head man at Bowling Green with his primary responsibilities being recruiting related especially in Michigan. He has hurt us in the past and will activeely pursue Michigan talent.

Actually I agree with Steve on his assessment of Moore and wish him well as I did Pilipovich. Say what you want but most all of Boone's assistant coaches have faired well elsewhere.

Any what about the ex Denby coach that spent 1 yr at EMU (Remember Harris and Garrett and Mathews), he is now the head man at Finney HS and won big last year. Plus he has 2 DIV I Prospects on his current roster, wonder if they would give EMU some consideration in their recruiitment? (Rose - bigtime player and Douglas - a MAC Level PG)

Dennis, you raise a fascinating ?
Which I have long wondered about:

How does he feel about EMU and how does EMU (Ramsey and Gragg) feel about him?

My guess is that Reeves probably does not have any particularly strong feelings either way toward EMU.

Whatever happened happened and I don't believe that EMU did anything which would have hurt his career.

Boone and his full time coaches were not renewed but Reeves stayed on until the new staff took over.

All of this happened on Diles' watch.

I assume he was on a one-year contract, but I don't know. I don't know if that 'Dir. of bball ops" position can be done multi year. (this stuff is tricky legal business - the so-called restricted earnings position was tossed by a judge finding against the NCAA. I don't know if there are any restrictions on the position other then it is not a recruiting position).
