Nice to see the #44 ranked safety giving us a verbal, looks to be a very good prospect and may be the ace of our recruiting class.

This Pittsburgh sports article has a Top 50 ranking of PA prospects and Miles is right near the top and squeezed in between kids going to big BCS schools Penn State, Pitt and West Virginia.

#9 recruit in PA, I just hope he gets his academics squared away, I see we also have a verbal from his brother

Kent Sports Report indicates both brothers have committed to the Flashes over Pitt, Toledo and Akron. But who knows?

Yeah, until Penn State or Iowa comes in to disregard their verbals and steal them away from us.

We discussed this kid over on Rivals and on the main board here with the UT recruiting geeks who really wanted. It is a big time get for the FLashes if all the T's get crossed and i's get dotted. He and his step-brother hsould make quite a apir for us. It really says something for the progress of our program when we can get a guy head up against Toledo (let alone that he had offers from Akron, WV, Colo., Pitt, and Mighty Temple.)

Rontez is definitely a huge commitment for KSU.

The key here is that Rontez and Vondre decided that they were definitely going to school together.

As you'll see, most schools recruiting Rontez also offered Vondre. The BCS schools that offered Rontez did not offer Vondre.

So, it came down to Kent State and Toledo and they chose the Golden Flashes. Lots of reasons why, but the defense KSU runs certainly helped.

Their parents also loved the campus, location and the FAMILY-ORIENTED coaching staff!

Scouts, Inc. has his brother as the #57 CB in the country, so it looks like 2 very good signings for our defensive backfield.

Yes, Vondre is a great athlete. He played quarterback at Woodland Hills (Pa.).

Two very good athletes with speed, character and a burning desire to WIN!

Exactly what coach Martin is looking for.
