GMAC Bowl info
Any Toledo fans or others who have been to the GMAC, maybe you could shed some light on trip.

The parade rocks!!! Some parades throw a bead or two, these guys throw the whole package of 12. If you want to be in a good spot, don't sit on the main drag, sit on one of those alley side streets where you don't have 10 people deep and the parade is right next to you instead of 20 feet away.

Take heavy duty garbage bags, you will get so much sh!t it's not funny. If you have a kid, hold her up towards the people giving away stuffed animals.

Make sure to take a camera, some good pics on the parade. These guys DO NOT want to be outdone by New Orleans, and they put on a great show.

Last year we had Terry Bradshaw (FYI).

Take a walk around the stadium prior to game time, you may be able to pick up some cool stuff. The GMAC gives stuff away for free. I must have 100 UT cheek stickers they made and they also give away these GMAC necklaces that flicker, coozies, everything.

Thanks for the info.

I'm really pumped about it. Sounds like a great place to bowl at.

Thank god I actually decided to check this board for the first time in forever because I am going to Mobile and this is information I can use. Thanks for the advice and insight into the main event! Me thinks I will have to buy two styrofoam ice boxes-- one to the parade so I can come early and get a good spot and one to the game so I can tailgate a bit and pick up some of these goodies you talking about around the stadium. Sounds like it is going to be awesome. 04-rock

This is nice to know. We Ohio fans haven't experience what this kind of game is like. GMAC bowl is a great bowl. You got nice weather and southern hospitality.
