1. 'Dungeons and Dragons' characters, sure why they heck not!
2. Maybe we don't have tradition because we were only in existence since 1963 and we only actually have been big since the early 90's. But that is slowly changing.
3. No on campus stadium sure, but we can buy alcohol at the games. Not only that but the possible BCS status of the Capital One Bowl might lead to a massive upgrade and renovation to the Citrus Bowl. A on-campus stadium might be nice, but if your home might be repaired for free, why move?
4. Scared!?! No I think not. Not ragging on you guys, but playing against Penn State, Wisconsin, and Arizona State has a little more zeal to it, no matter if we win or lose. And as for FAU and USF, well we like to keep some games in-state as well.
5. We don't blame UF, FSU or UM for our problems ar all! They just present an obstacle. FSU, UF and FAMU have been in existance for over a century. So natually they will get most of the support, expected of any states flagship schools. UCF is just a mere 40 years, but look what we have become in that short time, not many schools older than us have such an enrollment or academic and athletic potential as we.
6. ******* fans, well yes we are! Thats the ugly part of the formula to becoming a prominent school and creating traditions, just ask any major university with crazed fans (see UF, FSU, WVU, Ohio St. for some examples).

So maybe UAB and UCF are a perfect match for each other. Possibly for reasons other than we prefer to be called by our acronyms. But to be honest with you, I'd like to see both TSU and FAU in the C-USA with us, to take what we had in the A-Sun to the next level.

right...and thats why we are academically second to UF in the state or why our science and technology programs are among the strongest in the country.

You forgot option #7:

UCF and UAB are going to the big dance this year.

Don't dish it, unless you are willing to eat it.

hey, I am not the jack ******... you are the one crying :crying:

Maybe if TSU can upgrade from the mini-stadium on loan from Troy High School, it will be looked as a good addition to C-USA.

Who's crying? I'm laughing my ****** off at the garbage you can spew.

Troy State University is proud of its strong relationship with the city of Troy. Movie Gallery Stadium is the result of the combined efforts of the city, the University and the good people at Movie Gallery. It is one of only four I-A football stadiums in the country with a corporate sponsorship, along with Syracuse, Texas Tech, and Louisville (a CUSA team, I might add) not bad company. Here is what a little research turned up:

Average attendance per game: TSU - 21091 UCF - 20225

What does 20225 people look like in a 70,000 seat stadium? Pretty weak. Thats another thing that you have in common with UA'sB.

Here's another fact: TSU 33 Marshall 24 at MGVS
Marshall 21 UCF 7 at Citrus Bowl

I'm sure CUSA will be happy to have you, every conference needs its "Vanderbilt"

GO TROJANS!

I do not think I even need to get on the defensive. I believe even you can read beyond one poor season.

No interest here...I just thought it was amusing that after the Saturday loss a UCF and a UAB fan scrambled over here to be the first to rub it in our faces, which got me thinking about how much UCF and UAB fans (in general, not all) have in common.

not much to rub in. y'all got us last year. TSU has some potential. I'd pick them over a few of the other C-USA candidates. Anyhow, as of this year...good luck getting to the NIT's and root for UCF in the tourney, because we represent the A-Sun.

I didnt see anyone rubbing in the win at all. I dont know what board you guys are looking at. During and before the game it was another answer, that smack should be expected. Instead during the post game it was more of a 'good game' atmosphere and acknowledgement that TSU is a good team and they deserve a NCAA bid as well, though its doubtful they will get one since we are A-Sun schools, until some decided to flame about it.

Sarah, trust me, it's the "bigger school" issue, amongst other things. Arkansas State fans feed us the same 'ol crap day in and day out.

One thing I've respected about Troy State is that I never hear them screaming about why they don't play Bama or Auburn. They build a tough football schedule and play it. They're trying to be their own program and set their own mark, without trying to tear down the other programs in the state. That's why they get more fans in the seats and more respect from the bigger schools. Ask around here and most will say Troy State's the overwhelming fave to win the Sun Belt next year in football.

Good luck to you guys this season.

#8 They are both in C-USA come 2005, while Sarahbelles lowly Trojans will set at home again year after year in the Sun*Gag-Puke-Gag*Belt after getting their head kicked in by N. Texas again. Because the Sun*Gag-Puke-Gag*Belt will always be a 1 trick pony when it comes to bowls.
