Seriously, I love those dogs. They are really different than anything I had before, especially with those peppers, but they are mighty tasty. But, you'll never get me to admit that in front of my Southern brethren. ;-)

Yes the Chicago style pizza rocks too, but as a southerner, I don't have a dog in that fight, you're gonna have to settle that with NY.

lmfao There is a drive through liquor store? I haven't been back in 2 years so there are a lot of new places that I have never seen. I am in CT so pretty much all I get out here is NY or New Haven(thin crust on bottom but a medium thickness outer crust) style pizza and their "Chicago dogs" are a joke-not to mention very few sell them. I need to have some Portillo's shipped here.

(btw, there are many hot dog stands which dont stock ketchup, or refuse to put it on for you. to them i say:
Portillo's is good, if not overpriced. If you're out for an interesting experience, go to Weiner's Circle in Lincoln Park after midnight. The staff and clientele is unique at that time to say the least (lets just put it this way, foul language is welcomed and encouraged, from both sides of the counter)

As far as pizza, I love the deep dish variety, but its more of a special occasion type thing. Its too filling and expensive to chow down on on a regular basis. Chicago has a very distinct thin crust which I think I actually prefer to deep dish. Give me some Freddys on my deathbed, and I will die a happy man. (I love how our conversations always seem to lead to food. That must say something about us :shhh: )

Thanks for the link. I think I just might have to order some of the hot dogs. I went to the Portillo's site and thay want nearly $50 for 10 dogs w/everything while the VB site has 16 for $30. Would just need to get onion, tomato and pickles(and possibly cucumbers).

Excuse me, but you guys know jack about dogs. You needed to visit me at the hot dog stand I set up a few years ago outside each showing of "Deep Throat". I sold hot dogs and offered ketchup ONLY. Made no difference. I sold more footlongs than anyone in history. You should see all the nice young ladies who ran to my stand once the movie let out! Remember, fellas: LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION!!!
