Not many changes from what I saw last week. Jesse Newman looked very good on 2nd team RT and Leger looked good as well at the 2nd team LT. I feel we are in very good shape at the tackle position with these guys along with starters Brandon Cox (LT) and Demetrois Brooks (RT). I had Mike Moore listed on my last depth chart as OT but today he was playing defense. I have also dropped Corey Glover from the depth chart. He appears to be injured as he did not dress in pads but was there today. Corey seems to have alot of problems with injuries.
One change I did see today was at starting RG, JC transfer Justin Ernest took all the snaps with the first team at this position and played well. Lloyd (who I listed as the starter last week) and RS-Fr. Will Chance played RG on the 2nd team, Lloyd also played LG on the 2nd team. Ronnie Harvey is entrenched at the starting Center position. Because of number changes I cannot be certain but from what I have been told by a couple of people Ed Fane who was the backup center last season is now playing LG and Chad Bordelon appears to be the backup center. I am not certain of this or where Chris Cutler (moved from DL last season) or JC transfer Ryan Gilles are playing.
At Tight End, Lawrence Johnson appears to be the starter and made a few catches today (also had a couple of drops) and JC transfer Tommy Briggs looks like he is shking the rust off and played well today including a very impressive catch.
Wide Receiver, this is one of the most difficult positions to figure out who the starters are/will be. I believe the top 3 guys are Bill Sampy, Kemmie Lewis and Jordan Jackson. Several guys are fighting for the 4th spot: Eddie Brown, Travis Smothers, BJ Crist, and Bruce Taylor.
Halfback, Harrison seemed to get the majority of the snaps with the 1st team today and had some good runs but missed a couple of blocking assignments. Levier impressed me again today. He has an unusual running style but seems to be a natural running back. He has an instinct for picking the right hole and/or letting the blocking develop. Dwight Lindon also ran very well today.
Fullback, none imprssed me today. Cones and Rix were the only ones who touched the ball and Cones dropped a pass, Rix had a short run. Venable is the best blocker of the 3 by far.
QB, Babb looked very good despite throwing 1 int (a great pick by Michael Adams). He ran well and threw the ball with confidence. Luke looks like he is still trying to find a comfort level with the new offense. He (Luke) does have a great arm.

Good to see again yesterday. Moore and Bordelon moved to defense yesterday. Cutler played 2nd center(#50), he also played some with 1st team. Hodges played center one series with 1st team. Believe Chance is playing at tackle. Glover is out for remainder of spring, has a slipped disc. See you next week.

Fane is wearing #55. The Mrs. and I have been together over 30 years, you coming over could also be a nice break for me or her. Even though she has been to 2 coaches clinics, I always like to visit with others about Cajun football.
