It's being reported that Jesse Evans is leaving the program for USF program. Now its time to find a good replacement and quick b/c of recruiting season for basketball. I hope we can find a good coach to replace Evans and hopefully this coach can keep the players on the court with all the grade problems Evans had here.

Now they are saying USF is hounding former Tulane/Miami coach Perry Clark. :wave:

Well then Jessie needs to either sign this contract extension or get out of here. We need to know who the coach is going to be next year, for the recruits we are recruiting.

I Agree with StudentFan that time is going to waste. The head coach needs to be signing some recruits.

I hope the "future" head coach is (Coach Lee).

So nothing knew? It is spring signing period and lots of coaching question marks. Hope it isn't effecting your recruiting too much.

I'm hearing lots of reports from several sources that Jesse is gone. Watch for tomorrows news conferences about the coaching situation.

Ron Briscoe reported on the Delphi board that Evans is now gone, he's a pretty reliable source and it looks like we're post Evans era now. We need to hurry and find a good coach to continue the recruiting process and get in some good players.

Jessies gone.....you think he'd take Ron Briscoe with him?

I saw that Ron was getting on some people's nerves today, I hope they settle all that and we get back to the baseball season.

Ron got off to a bad start on the board a couple of years ago by trying to sell his newsletter when he posted, i.e. give a little info with the promise of more if you subscribe to the letter. I can understand why he did that (try to get the word out about his site) but I think you do it once or twice and then leave it alone, just my opinion. Many on the Delphi board gave him a hard time about that and seems both sides never kissed and made up I enjoy listening to Don Allen's show and Ron is a regular guest, his demeanor on the radio seems different from that on the Delphi board. All that said, I wish Coach Evans good luck and hope we pickup a good coach to replace him. Unless a better candidate steps up I am pulling for Coach Lee. We will be fine

I have heard a lot about coach Lee taking over, sounds like a great person to take over the program.
