Add Derrick Ansley from Troy to your DBs. Just check out the stats and the CFN write up. You'll see.

Here is a quote about Ansley from the CFN website.

Quote:- Free safety Derrick Ansley, Sr. - Ansley has been one of the team's top playmakers for the last two years following up a great 82 tackle 2002 season with an All-America caliber 2003 leading the Trojans with 94 tackles, nine interceptions and ten broken up passes. He's a good hitting free-safety with tremendous cover skills.

Here is the link to CFN's page for Troy's defense.

GO TROJANS!

Michael Pruitt who will be Nose Tackle, could be better than Brandon Kennedy.
Blunt or Beau Davidson at TE, both could dominate if the offense opens up.
Not so sure about Hall as QB, but whatever works.
The RB from USU seemed to be hyped pretty good.

Can not wait for the Season to start!!!

Depending on how the rest of the team does around him, Cox at Utah State could be the conference's best QB.

Hey Swamp,
Are you including FIU/FAU or do we have to wait till next year? The recent "2004 Sun Belt Conference Football Preseason All-Conference Teams" did not include us. And you forgot to post for kick returner and punt returners.

I nominate Greg Moss from FIU as stated in Phil Steele's 2004 Independent Team magazine.

If the last name Moss sounds familiar, it is because he is NY Jets WR Santana Moss' cousin. Santana's younger brother and Greg's other cousin is a WR at the University of Miami. 04-cheers

The quoted part were my picks back in April. I did pick TE Anthony Crissinger-Hill from FAU. You are right I did not pick any special team players, I would have picked the punter and kicker that was chosen (K-Comiskey and P-Stelly), I have seen both play and they are both very good. I would not have chosen a KR or PR since I was not educated enough on the players who do it to make a choice. I do not think the panel chose any FAU or FIU players based on the fact they are not "officially" in the conference until next season.
