Last night on the 10:00 news, WBKO stated the the WKU Softball coach was resigning, however I have yet to see any type of official release on it from WKU.

That's interesting. I still don't see anything on WKU sports about it either. I don't really guess I'm that surprised by it. She's been at WKU for several years now. I wonder if she's moving on to another position, or if she was just ready to stop coaching?

Honestly, the Lady Toppers haven't done quite as well as I hoped since Phelan came on board. Admittedly, she had to build the program from the ground up (which I'm sure isn't easy), and she will be leaving some good building blocks for the next coach. I just hope that the next head coach is able to give the Lady Tops that last little push they need to become a nationally competitve team (i.e. winning the Sun Belt and moving on to the NCAA regionals, etc.).

According to WBKO, she is going to pursue other business opportunities if I recall right. I am beginning to wonder if this is legit or if WBKO has blown it again (i.e. the infamous Coach diddle interview).

I think their are some health issues.
