This was in an article about the Baton Rouge Regional. Supposedly, the author even wrote this with a straight face:
For the fourth time since the NCAA Tournament expanded to 64 teams in 1999, LSU did not get one of the coveted eight national seeds. The Tigers did get a regional, yes, for the 15th straight year. LSU opens at 2 p.m. Friday against Army, a team that because of the young men who play on it should be treated to the best of that famous Alex Box Stadium visiting team hospitality that has ever been displayed in that venerable ballpark.

Apparently, he was never at the stadium and talked to an LSU fan about how the fans were over there.

I saw that the other day. Their fans will treat a school that doesn't pose a threat to LSU with respect. But when UL or Tulane goes to Alex Box, the wackos come out. I'm telling you everyone in tank tops, beer breath, skunk cologne. Its down right awful.
To your Eagle baseball team, I hope they stick to LSU and whip their asses!!!! GEAUX EAGLES!!!!
