Unless we get some more speed, strenght in the backfield and another good TE I say the prediction will be 5-6.

perhaps since it is getting so close to football season my optimism is growing, I want to change my prediction to 8-3, why not?

I've given this some thought to not be too optimistic, but also not to be too negative. I strongly believe that a 8-3 season is possible. You can go ahead and count a loss to K-State, but hopefully the same Cajun defense that played South Carolina last season will show up and suprise some people. Our certain W's include NSU and FIU. After that, we can contend in every game. I'd love to beat the crap outta Tech, but feel it will be closer than last year's game. I give the edge to Tech based on past seasons and the fact the game is in Ruston. I feel the home field advantage will be huge in our games against MT, UNT, and Troy, which is why I'm predicting victories over MT and Troy. I just wish I was really confident to predict an upset over UNT. Our road conference games aren't tough, just the fact that they aren't close enough for a good fan base to travel to will make them a little bit more difficult. At Idaho and NMSU will be tough, but this is where I expect our team to gel together and string some good wins together on the road. Now to ULM. I hate playing them just cause they beat us. We are better than them and there is no reason why we should lose to them. I expect the Cajuns to head to Monroe with only a victory needed to clinch the outright SBC title. Cajuns finish 8-3, with losses to Tech, K-State, and UNT, but still win the SBC Title!!

GEAUX CAJUNS!!!!

Well, I put alot of thought into this before I make a prediction. I dont want to get to excited because with high expectations, comes a high risk of dissapointment, but also at this time, its the time you should be excited, thus here we go.

Sept. 4 (Saturday) NORTHWESTERN STATE - We win this game, but its alot closer than most expect. Possibly a late field-goal or touchdown seals it for us. A rough start but results are all that matter and we win.

Sept. 11 (Saturday) at Louisiana Tech - Depending on just how well we improve, we could easily win this game big, or lose this game big, but Im one for the middle ground. We will be improved but La Tech plays well early in the season, so this will be difficult. I think this is a loss.

Sept. 18 (Saturday) at Kansas State - We show some grit early, but they pull away in the second half. Our worst loss of the season.

Sept. 25 (Saturday) * MIDDLE TENNESSEE - Again, another impressive game against these guys, but the tables have turned, were in the upswing, while their in the down. I predict a double digit win, gets our moral back up.

OCTOBER

Oct. 2 (Saturday) at Florida International - Following the big Win over Middle Tennessee, we goto FIU out of conference. This game will be closer than last year, but that isnt saying much. I think a 14 points or less will be the win margin.

Oct. 9 (Saturday) * at New Mexico State - Resting some of our better players, we come to play and take out NMSU. We are on a roll.

Oct. 16 (Saturday) * at Idaho - I feel bad for them, I truly think they are the worst team in the belt this year, but the kibby dome is a hard place to win, so I predict a 7 point or less win.

Oct. 23 (Saturday) * ARKANSAS STATE - ASU will come to play, It goes to the 4th, but unfortunatly, ASU wins one from us.

Oct. 30 (Saturday) OPEN DATE

NOVEMBER

Nov. 5 (Friday) * NORTH TEXAS - An open date helps us regroup with only 1 in conference loss, and the 2 teams that are ahead we still have shots at. A home game vs the top dog on national TV. With a huge crowd and a pumped team, not to mention being on 2 weeks rest while UNT is on a short week, we win this one, a huge feat for us or any team in the belt.

Nov. 13 (Saturday) * TROY STATE - TSU is a good team, but we catch them at a good time, after a big win, and have an extra day to prepare because we played on the friday and they play on saturday. A day comes in handy when you really need it. We win this one, like a 10 point win.

Nov. 20 (Saturday) * at Louisiana-Monroe - Make or break it game. In years past playing ULM has been only important for us and them, this year, its atleast very important for us to get to the New Orleans bowl. We win this game going away to get where we need to get.

We finish 8-3 in the regular season with losses to ASU,La Tech, and KSU. If we lose one or even 2 more i'll be happy, but missing out on a winning season will dissapoint me.

yea, Im not going to deny that you definitly have the leg up on that, but those things that i mention definitly work in our favor, esspecially having 2 weeks off before your game, where as yall come into the game on a short week (one day shorter than ussual). It will be a good game, but I think a strong home crowd will help us out a whole lot.
