Basketball next year (uh-oh)
Mckinney, Hughes and then what???

Seriously what will the starting lineup be?

Paradise
McKinney
Rand
?????
Hughes

will Rand even be healthy?

Paradise
Yelder
McKinney
?????
Hughes

Who is going to be this teams PF? Pancratz is only 6'5 so I doubt he can play.

We have Gaters (6'7 but after seeing him play he is too skinny right now to play unless he hits the weight room big time in the offseason). I have never seen Kelly play. Lochner is a Center, and he will probably backup Hughes.

The one guy who is probably the favorite is Shaun Logan.

Dominated the JUCO level, so hopefully he can step in. Needless to say we have some big men issues. Hopefully some of the freshys can step up, and hopefully Rand will be healthy.

Saw the team last night out with the coach, (Rand, Pancrantz, Hughes, not sure who else) but there was a guy that was pretty big I didn't recognize, maybe it was Shaun Logan, pretty sure he could play PF whoever it was though (size wise at least, no clue on talent obviously)

I feel better about this team than I did about last years team. They might not win as many games next season, but I feel like we're going to see a decent foundation next year.

I predict Yelder and Kelly will be starting before the year is over.

I heard BJ Armstrong is coming back for a fifth year of eligibility and the Huskies will be one of the MAC favorites next year.

I also heard that I have AIDS. FWIW

McKinney is going to have to average 20 points for this team to be any good. Hughes can not get injured. He must average a double double. Yelder must come in a provide instant leadership. Paradise is a streak shooter. Hopefully, Rand will come back strong from injury.

having said this,

10-17

Some positives for the 07 recruiting class
2 local northern Illinois players who haven't been highly recruited yet, not only have decent ratings (Scout) but size that will cause our opponents matchup problems

1) Tori Boyd 3* SG, Stillman Valley, IL, 6-5 (only 25 SG's listed at that height or taller.

2) Zach House, 2*, PF, Rock Falls, IL. 7-0 ( only 1 other PF listed at 7-0 or taller) Yep he's a 2*, but let's get real NIU is not going to sign 3-5 star 7 footers. He's only 1 of 2 PF's taller than 6-8 that are 2* rated, there are only 29 PF rated 2* or higher that are 6-9 or taller.

Thinking as a head coach of a mid major program; if I have to work with average to slighly above average players and "coach them up" I'll take size all day long and these 2 have it.

Thoughts, opinions?

BTW, Not sure how many women post here but if any of you are, Happy Mothers Day! 02-13-banana 04-bow
