Hollins originally spurned Oregon State and Arizona to sign with Wisconsin out of Crenshaw High School and spent two years as a scout-team quarterback for the Badgers.
He then transferred to West L.A. and shattered six school records, including Warren Moon’s single-season yardage mark. He picked up the offense in a short time, beating out three others for the starting job.
There will be a similar situation this fall at ASU as the quarterback job is up for grabs with returning starter Elliot Jacobs, Hollins, Hicks and Nick Noce expected to battle for the starting spot.
