After missing last season with a brain tumor - WKU’s Cacie Pope is enjoying....A bittersweet battle back
For Western Kentucky freshman forward Cacie Pope, this summer has a familiar feel to it.
Once again Pope is prepping for her first year on the court with the Lady Toppers. She arrived last summer as one of the prize jewels in a talented crop of freshmen and was well on her way to making an impact on the court.
All the promise and hype changed in an instant on Oct. 11.
It was a day like any other for the 6-foot-1 Lakewood, Calif. native. Pope was on her way back to her dorm when she started to feel faint and dizzy.
