111- 107 Flashes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

UB was down by 9 with 20+ seconds left and would not go away.

Calvin Cage almost single handly won the game for UB

Hats of to UB!!!!!!!!! They never went away. Down by 14 in the 1 st half. Losing a 13 pt lead in the second. They kept fighting,

That said, FLASHES WIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Gflash68 here! Just now getting revived. Worked late at the office and listened to the game. Wanted to eat before going home. Instead, had to stop at Med Ce nter to check vital signs. They were closed for Gosh sakes. So, what to do. Oh, stop at Applebys for two tall ones. Now I am at home checking my pulse.

Flash Fans, this was a bbbig game. It shows a real depth of character. This team must really feel like a brotherhood tonite. Everyone was needed and responded. As painful as it is to listen to Needle, I must admit that he gave it all tonite. He was as exhausted as me at the end.

All in all, it is good to be a Flash Fan. 04-rock

It was amazing. As I stated on the main board, I wish i had gone. However, with about 9 minutes left in the game it seemed all of our momentum was gone, and Buffalo had scored another basket and foul, so we stopped listening. We figured it was over. One of our friends called and I told her we lost. She called back 10 minutes later and said to turn it back on, it was in double OT!!!! I still can't believe it. I should learn to leave the game on, but with Needle and how we were doing, I didn't think that was a good option.

That was definently the best KSU game I've seen live.

They played excellent ball for about the first 14. I have not seen a KSU team run the offense as well as they did at this point in the game. This was only the second time I've seen them play this year and was very impressed with this team's speed. Down the stretch in the first they started slacking on D and let UB back into the game.

The 2nd half for the most part was pathetic. No energy on either side of the floor. I was about ready to come in here and totally blast this team's heart. Thank God Warz gave such an incredible spark to get the energy of the team back up. Started playing better D, but they often had UB clamped down for 25 seconds only to have some sort of lapse.

I figrued they'd wrap it up in the 1st OT, they had all the momentum and UB struggled mighitly after Idbihi fouled out. UB was able to stay in the game with rediculous long rang shooting, going 60% in the 1st OT. I figured KSU would be out of energy after this point and fold on the road, but they were able to keep their level of play up while UB finally cooled down from the floor.

Rebounding is a huge concern after watching this game. KSU got out rebounded by 11, and most of the time I only saw one Flash crashing boards up against 3 UB players.

For all the pissing UB fans gave the KSU student section, I was hardly impressed. About as many students as a typical Wednesday night in Febuary for KSU. I was expecting some nice smack talk, but they couldn't muster anything more original than Kent sucks. They have a stupid seating arangment with students on the sidelines but up at least 10 rows, and a few kids behind the basket. UB seems to be wasting a good chunk of revenue producing seats. Still more fun from when they were drawing 900 a game.

Pretty much everyone at UB agrees that the arrangement of the "Student Sections" blows. People like the "good" seats along the side lines, but more and more students are sitting behind the baskets. The "good" fans, so to speak, are trying to get more people behind the baskets, because everyone knows that a cohesive section will be more effective.

I didn't get a chance to go to last nights game, but I did see the SU game. I knew then that Kent was going to be a force in the MAC, as always. Good game last night, and perhaps we'll meet again in Cleveland!

Yeah, I was sick and tired of hearing Buffalo fans whine and complain about how Kent fans "don't show up to games," especially the Kent-Buffalo game in Kent. Wasn't that game on a Sunday at noon??? Yeah, most of the student body is still asleep from the night before.

That was pretty much what I thought. The seats behind the hoop are closer to the away bench and the action.

Hard year in the MAC for the Bulls, but I think UB will be a consistant player in the MAC under Witherspoon. Good luck the rest of year, beat Crackron, might head out for that one. Don't think UB has the depth for a deep run, but they can beat anyone in the MAC on the right night. It's always more fun with a good UB turnout at the Q.
