<span style='font-family:Times'>Construction on the new Miller Club Build-Out, located inside the east end of the Tennessee Miller Coliseum, is nearing completion.

The facility will have a bar and dining area, ideal for receptions and other small gatherings. The paddock fencing adjacent to the Horse Science Building is complete, and a final walk-through of the Horse Science addition has been completed.

Work on the women's locker room in Murphy Center should be completed by the end of September. The contractor is Kerry G. Campbell. The project also includes a team meeting room, small conference room and a bathroom for the coaches.

Bruce Adams Construction is the contractor for the Murphy Center ADA elevator, which will replace the freight elevator.

Parking and Transportation Services operates comfortably in the renovated gymnasium of the St. Mark's building. Work is ongoing on the second floor above the gym, which will be the future home of the Event Coordination department.

The steel framing for the stairs and the stair footings are in place in the Davis/Wiser Life Safety project. The stair block work was begun in June.

The renovation work on the Todd Building continues, with 95 percent of the plumbing and electrical complete. Workers are installing windows, and the elevator shaft at the north entrance is nearly finished. The second-floor office space is in the design phase, and the interior sprinkler system and masonry are 95 percent complete. The Todd project is slated for completion by fall of 2005.

Regarding the Smith Quad, work on Sims Hall is complete, and workers are reviewing the punch list for Beasley Hall. Work began in May on Gracy Hall. RCR is the contractor, which also has the contract for future improvements on Judd Hall. Smith Hall will go out for bid in the spring of 2005.

The systems replacement project in the Natatorium should be nearly complete. It entailed a new filter system and improvements to the pool. The facility is used for HPERS classes, including swimming, aerobics and SCUBA. The SCUBA class will start up again this fall.

A ribbon-cutting for the Emmett and Rose Kennon Sports Hall of Fame was held on July 24.

The MTSU Observatory had to be re-bid, and the design work is under way.

Other projects are pending or in initial stages, including the sprinkler systems for Corlew and Cummings halls. That project will soon go out for bids, and work is scheduled to start next summer.
