crAcKRON FANS
I was impressed with the showing of the fans from Akron. I don't think there have been even that many fans/students at their home games in the past years.
I liked the shirts too, great effort even though it was all for nothing. If you are going to make a shirt that says "KSU cant beat us", check the record over the last 7 times we've played or lifetime for that matter because the truth is WE CAN beat you and did today!!!!!!!
GO FLASHES!!!! 04-rock 04-rock 04-rock

I think what happened with their students was this. Someone called Gail or another one of the morons in our ticket office and said they were a contingent from Kent Stark. I believe they got in the game for free by wearing the Kent shirts and then at the first TV timeout switched them to the side with Can't beat us.

Kind of a brilliant idea to get a tough ticket for free. Too bad that was the highlight of their day.

I give them credit too, it was clever but the win feels even better when they went to all that trouble for nothing ;-)

Crakron and their gay fans and team
The crakron fans are crying 03-hissyfit like someone stoled their lunch money on the play ground as many of you dont know akrons bball team sent kent state a giant funeral flower arangement in black to the bball team earlier in the week stating that they were going to put them away. how stupid can they be seriously, I had a million phone calls from those POS all week long (which i might add that they will all be contacted by the police and be criminally prosecuted) which gave me the best weekend yet Kent kicked crakrons ass and I will be seeing them all in court in a couple months after this past week, so who is getting the last laugh crakron you douche bags.

Also it was pretty obvious when they didnt even come in the student gate that they were akron fans wearing the KSU bball shirts thats why all the real fans in the student section were chanting at them

Good Luck Kent Bball for the rest of the season 4 more game until 8 straight 20 win seasons lets hope for the best and finally get some respect from the NCAA tourny committee

now bown down ******* especially romeo and dru because you still are the red headed step child and your both lebron rejects :uberbow:

OK hate to burst a few bubbles, but two things. I was an usher at the game last night, The akron students had general admission tickets (which they did have to buy) and were unable to get down into the student section. Their Can't beat us shirt, which is kind of humerous given their stellar record against Kent State over the last few years, was made even more interesting because in small type it also said "Can't guard the student section" which when it was all said and done they never made it into the student section. That was their plan all along, and myself and the other ROTC ushers did a great job!

From my expirience thats usually the case. All the games i have been to at Akron we have a good showing, it might be more difficult this year bcz the akron Fans are coming out of the woodwork, but i am going to be there so all we need is 1,999 more!!!!!

not true... we had many students get in on the band side that snuck down over the railing in the last two rows were packed with our students and on the other side we had some students that were Akron students that got in because they didn't have blue shirts on and just walked right on by. Again, nice try but we did get in! MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!

Ok just a few things:

-You guys won, congrats, but don't give me any of this bullcrap that you weren't scared shitless through most of the first half and into the second half. Your crowd was silent and you team was confused. Congrats though, it was a good game.

-KentDelt, ohh boo hoo they called my phone a bunch of times, boo hoo, boo hoo. Get over it. No criminal charges will ever hold up when you posted your phone number on a public message board. Get a life man. Or at least find someone else to go cry too.

-The Rowdies cover got blown when one of our idiot womens soccer players exposed the other side of the shirt to a Kent fan with around 30 min. to go until tipoff. Up until then we had spent a good 30 minutes with your lame Kent asses doing your stupid identity crisis cheers like "We are, Kent State" I can't believe colleges still do that. It is like, thanks for clarifying guys. I wasn't really sure who we were playing tonight.

-Even after our cover was blown you guys still announced us as "visitors from the Stark County campus of Kent State University" over the PA system. That had to be the most hilarious part of the day. Good to see that Kent State edumacation paying off for you guys.

-MACfan77. Don't give me that crap that security was on us from the time we walked in to make sure we didn't get into the student section. For one the plan from the time we all met at the JAR at 11:45 yesterday was to sit where we were sitting. So good job foiling that plan. For another thing security didn't show up until the first media time out whenever your numbnutz administration finally put two and two together and figured it out. Then and only then did the cops come over and begin to push us back into our seats and out of the top two or three rows of your student section. Might want to open your eyes next time your ushering the game.

-Congrats on such an original idea to get back at us dclear. Yeah lets make a sign with the same lame ass unoriginal logo that we wore for the first game and hold it up behind the bench. Brilliant.

-Ohh and, by the way, good luck getting into the JAR the way we got in on you guys. Our ushers actually check tickets and wristbands to make sure people are sitting in their proper spots. Something you may want to bring up MACfan at your next ushers meeting. I know it is a real novel idea for you guys.

See you guys at the JAR if any of you guys have the balls to go. Flushes-->04-chairshot <--Zips

Hey Quickzips,

I like your first point the best. It doesn't matter how scared we were, we still got scoreboard. So, just like your coach said, until you beat Kent, we are better than you.

Go back to your zipsnation board with all the other crybabies and look at the scoreboard, b****!! You have nothing to say for the next month that can ever top the final score!

Well, while your team may have won the game on A scoreboard, it was not the one hanging over the center of the court in the MACC Center.

How ******* bad is it that a team with 7-straight, soon to be eight 20-win seasons and all of the other success that you have had in hoops and you have a dead scoreboard hanging over your court?

I am sure the good folks at Ohio Edison are glad that on the heels of their major, record breaking Nuclear fines and their ieptitude with the Blackout of 2004 that their sign is on a piece of NON-FUNCTIONING ELECTRONICS over at Portage Tech.

And one last thing, for all of the big time talk that KSU fans dish out you still are only 6 games over .500 against Akron all-time, which is pretty damn poor since we are the school that employed Coleman Crawford and Dan Hipsher for 18 of the last 20 years. The sun does not shine on the same dog my friends so enjoy yesterday while you still have it.

OK, Ak-Zips and the rest of you, we all had fun. I mean, basketball is a game, a diversion, and it is supposed to be fun. I hope Kent wins the MAC, but if Kent doesn't, I sincerely hope it's our neighbor and rival, Akron!! We should pull together against the OU's, Miami's and BG's, who all think they're God's gift!!

Kind of like the two times last year, too. When was the last time, the sun shone on Akron basketball anyway, the underachieving days of Jami Bosley? 03-yawn

Great job, you got into the student section. Whoopee!! We don't need to get into the Akron student section. It's like 3 rows of bleaches which Akron's great support still has trouble filling. I don't know which tickets they check at Akron, but 85% of your stands are high school pull-out bleachers which have been half-filled by KSU fans the last two years.

You had us scared just like you had OU fans scared two weeks ago. Unfortunately, the game is 40 minutes long. You don't get points for winning at halftime. Points, period were your problem. 22 in the second half?

Taunt all you want. You won football; you won the student section. I guess it shows your lack of intelligence if you spent all day looking up top for the score. Here was the score if you missed it. 63-57 04-chairshot

-This post is ridiculous...scared shitless? Fans confused? Not really, its more like we've been there done that. We realize there are two halves to every basketball game and don't blow our load in the first twenty minutes of the game. Do you realize how dumb you now look for running your mouths thinking you had it won after only twenty minutes? This is a classic case of fans not used to winning and getting excited well before they should be.
-The chants, you think that's an identity crisis? O-H-I-O an identity crisis? We are, Penn State an identity crisis? This is just what Joyce was talking about, this is your inferiority complex coming out. AK rowdys? WTF? Seriously, we don't some stupid name for a sub group of students. We are Kent State, one University, one team, the six man, indivisible...We are Kent State. We don't care what you think. Oh, and following your logic...your O-E-O Romeo is classic then....like we didn't know who your best player was.
-You picked great seats under the loge, those are some of the poorest seats in the building. As for being "on to you," I can't speak for the ushers, but as a fan, I knew right away. First and foremost, we wouldn't wear navy blue shirts, like I said previously, we are one and its yellow shirts for KSU fans.
- It amazing to see your posters pissed about Screw the Roo shirts. I love how much attention it has generated from the Akron fans. The shirts have accomplished their mission I would say. Plus, Fear the Roo might be the dumbest slogan ever. It's a Kangaroo fellow, not something that should be feared, it isn't a lion. By the way, we at Kent respect everyone, but fear no one.
- I have no interest sneaking into the jar. I would NEVER, EVER, EVER wear something that said Akron on it. You on the other had, probably felt pretty good wearing the KSU garb. I don't blame you.
-Other than those point, I do give the UofA students lots of credit for thinking the idea up. It was classic, however, the whining that has followed the loss has already tarnished this great "prank." Just take your beating and be done with it, because we screwed the roo, whether you liked it or not.
